Give me the short version- what was this supposed to be about?
It's hard for me to watch vids that start off with a lot of talk about nothing- at least nothing important tp me- causes me to loose interest & I won't watch it.

I'm the same way. Long loud blaring intro, followed by 3-5 minutes of reviewer ego BS, followed by a lot of watch me make clouds... I rarely watch a video review unless it's under 10 minutes.

A follow up to my burnt hits issues with istick+nautilus mini combo. I've been using 2 separate isticks, mini's, coil's, and juices. (So I think it's safe to say it wasn't one faulty unit, since it was happening on both)

Both started having burnt hits after a couple months in with no issues. But I had my wattage at around 10. I've lowered it to 8 on both for the last week, and that appears to be the magic number. Anything above 8 will work fine for awhile, but then the burnt hits appear randomly. Even around 9 they would pop in once in awhile.

Just an fyi for anyone having similar issues with this combo; try it at 8W max.

Hope you weren't looking to see it on the Istick- I use a Nautilus on that. :D
The mod the Lemo is going on hasn't arrived to me yet.

The EVIL salesman at Elite VaporWorks let me try a iStick with a Nautilus Mini. Then he proceeded to tell me the black battery ONLY was $24.95. At 11watts this thing hit like a beast.

How could i refuse that?

Elite Vaporworks iStick by Eleaf - Battery Only - Black - iStick - Eleaf - Hardware

Elite Vaporworks Aspire Nautilus Mini Tank System - Nautilus - Aspire - Hardware

The Batttery Only option is always going to be cheaper then both the express kit and full kit options. All you get is the iStick by itself. As for the Nautilus mini most are priced about $26 reasonable to $35 with most over $30 some $39.99 while I just had to grab a pair that come with two additional coils for $23.99 at 101vape. LIMITED TIME SALE W/ FREE BONUS 2 EXTRA BVC COILS INCLUDED (4 total)

That was the second time I have run into a factory promo deal having found one vendor with the two extra coils plus replacement glass tank in a slightly larger box for the 5ml full size Nautilus tank on sale for $27.99 before the vendor raised the price upto $45! If you shop around a bit a couple of other vendors have the mini tanks priced at $20.50 without the promo however.

It shouldn't cause you any problems. If the rattling really bothers you, you can pull the black piece above the fire button and move it down a bit to make it more snug so it doesn't rattle. The black piece is held on by double stick tape and you can re-stick it on closer to the fire button.

Thank you, that seems to be exactly what I'm experiencing. I probably won't try this fix now that I know it's not anything to worry about. I tend to be a clutz and will find a way to break something else while trying to fix it.
I've been through 5ml of juice today and it works perfectly just like my other one.

Just use extreme care when going to lift that strip up to move it since that sticky stuff doesn't always want to stay on once lifted off! I've run into that enough on a wide range of products of all types! And you wouldn't want to end up sweating epoxy glue with that getting inside when trying to find something that will make it stay on again! It would seem one idea would be to take a small piece of scotch or other transparent tape and slip it in to add something in there without risk just to fill in the gap a bit and end the rattling.

I use mine on the lowest setting, 3 watts/4.7 volts with the mini. Even on that low setting, I get some popping. Seems to work fine though, decent vapor (not that maximum vapor production is a concern for me, I don't care how much vapor is produced, as long as the hit is satisfying, I'm sitting here all by myself, not trying to impress anyone) , good taste, no burnt hits. With all due respect, why would I want to try it at 8, 9, or 10? I could be mistaken, but it seems to me that a lot of people that have complaints are using way too much power. I just don't get it.

best regards, larry mac

With the Tumblers I generally run those at 7w on the variable batteries and mods where the best flavor meets the best vapor. With the Nautilus that takes on the new ball park figure of 10w to 12w depending on what goes in the tank which is usually the maker or breaker! So far with the Atlantis which won't fire on the 20w Vamo V6 or iStick which is also a 20watter I have to wait at least until saturday's vape mail is in for the ZNA 50 and monday's for the one of two Singapore Fasttech orders to come in for the SMOK BEC Pro 50w and Dovpo E-LVT 30w mod mentioned before where I can turn things above 15w presently seen on the VTR with the Atlantis sub ohm tank which actually requires the higher voltages/wattages to get the most out of.

Here I simply got a little tired of who had the next biggest cloud photo they could plaster and insteaad stay focused on what does actually work since personal preferences vary almost as much as individual fingerprints on what people will or won't like! For variable v and w batteries and mods the Tumblers have worked out well here while still being a bit "old school" as far as how the safe vaping charts are rather ancient history as far as the hardwares now coming out. The other most common problem is manufacturers still not specifying what the max volts and watts are for their own products when using one brand's tanks on someone else's batteiy or mod even on their own to specify just what the maximums are rather then see people burn coils left and right!

Another problem with the burnt taste is low voltage where a battery or mod needs to be recharged! People forget that this is a more commonly seen reason why something will get a bad taste since higher watts as well as volts means shorter battery time due to the heavier draw.

True enough Larry Mac. I guess I just got used to vaping around there from my MVP. I do find that lower W don't unlock the full flavor at times, so it's not just the vapor for me, but more the flavor. But who knows, it could be all in my head. I would love to see some blindfolded vape tests one of these days. It could make no difference, and I'm just burning my juice for nothing.

Pleasure. This is a lovely chit-chat between Brandon (from Evolv) and Dave (known around here as HiFiStud :D) about DNA 40.

Brandon talks about problems with some boards (screen locks, apparently) and what they do to fix it; about different wires (titanium and stainless) that can be used instead of nickel; coil building (he recommends spaced coils, not micros); commercial coils already available (Kanger and Aspire); and next inventions, products and improvements. :D

You don't have to watch the whole video--use the FF function. ;) That's what I do--I only watch parts that interest me.

Here I didn't get too tied down to one mod or battery only but even when having multiples set at let's say 7w for a particular flavor the amperage going out to the same tank at times when moving it around seemed to be different. I would notice when going from either the MVP as well as the Groove II when that was still alive along with the variable v/w eGo batteries. Some needed the extra kick upto 10w in order to see the flavor acually realized fully however and at least now the Atlantis and soon to be Kanger sub ohm tanks allow people to sample at higher wattages.

Finding the idea solution for everybody in one shot will never happen as I was pointing out earlier. Even when running with just one particular flavor the outcome from various setups as far as hardwares on top of where things are set all make for endless results. The right tank on the right battery or mod set to the correct voltage, wattage can make or break the sale. Everything has to be fine tuned to meet each person's best needs.
