I'm not concerned about it at this point, but will definitely continue to see if I can find anything. The only other information I have about this particular coil assembly is that there were no signs of any particles in the chimney or on the inner metal sleeve of the coil assembly. If I were concerned then I'd honestly just buy a different atty or I would use the two iClear 30S that have been sitting in my cupboard as backups. I guess all we can do at this point is wait for someone who has more experience in materials testing to pull one apart, inspect it, and verify exactly what material is used. Until then, we are all just making wild guesses.

I have no idea. Silicosis and lung cancer are no fun, no matter what causes them. The only things we really need in our PVs (necessary risk) are PG, VG, nicotine and some kind of a heating wire (nichrome, kanthal, nickel, stainless steel, titanium). Everything else is just an add-on. I try to avoid add-ons that may pose unnecessary and completely avoidable risks.

As always, YMMV.

Does anyone even know if inhaling the heat generated from thin kanthal, nickel, stainless steel, nichrome, or titanium has long term health effects yet? Some metals are known to cause respiratory damage when their fumes are inhaled.

I don't. I do feel that this is infinitely more helpful than smoking, however.

I've been doing this for a while (and some of the kit I have used has been, for want of a better word, abominable.

Awful automatic batteries that broke when liquid went into them. But there was enough there to keep a person off the baccy. The potential was incredible - and so it has proven to be!

I just got mine yesterday, and the photos in this listing are the exact sleeve that I got (because I requested it as a custom design, and she used the photos of mine to make the listing for the design when she decided to make more of them). I love it. I dislike the feel of metal on my pv especially when it is cold. This leather feels wonderful, it protects my buttons when my iStick is shoved in my pocket or my purse and I forget to turn it off, and the thickness of the leather eliminates that weird "part of the tank is hanging over the edge" look that the iStick sometimes has with wider tanks. Just showing y'all mine, because shiny…but she can apparently make almost any design she has in her shop as an iStick sleeve.

I don't work for SillyNilly, or get any kickbacks, I just really like her work and she's really the only person out there that I've found that does these kinds of leather sleeves. Also, she's very nice and helpful.

You summed up the istick quite accurately. I really think if mine died at 6 months, I'd probably just buy another one. It's size and convenience are both winners, and I've had no problems with either of mine.

Exactly, four2109. After two months of using my original iStick, I bumped it off of my night stand while plugged in, onto wall-to-wall carpeting and the female USB receptacle in the 'Stick broke free of the PCB, grounded circuitry and tanked the device. I'll be reinforcing known weak spots with either epoxy or hot glue. Unfortunately, the iStick is not built like the VTR. I'm also still waiting for the right chipset to transplant into the waiting corpse.

Yeah, I just saw that on another post. I have a 650 and it's too big and top heavy with a topper on it. I didn't see the price!
The bottom frame that holds the charging port pulled out on my itaste. It still works, I was just surprised because I was just unplugging it.
