The I stick looks good and is priced well. My Itaste v2.0 still works so Im not in the market.

I ordered one after several reviews knowing full well it's about the same height as the MVP, and slightly heavier (brick-like compared to the iStick), but I ordered one anyway. It is a bit slimmer, button placement is like the iStick's and there is no turkey necking with an attached atomizer and this will run slightly sub-ohm, which I need for the 2 Orchid V4 tanks I have.
I do really love the form factor of the iStick and will continue to use the 2 that I have on a daily basis, but this IPV mini is a nice compromise. If the reviews of the forthcoming Cloupor, Kamry and Sigelei are favorable and the price is reasonable, I might look at one of those for a birthday present next year. But by then (March), we should have seen the iStick 2 and MVP3 as well.
I can only answer this by explaining crazy people like myself who go through life constantly asking the questions: "Why?" and "How?". I often have to refrain from teaching someone how to build a watch when I'm asked what the time is.![]()
Arghh guys I need some recommendations for a tank other than the Nautilus Mini. I'm having some serious issues with my SECOND tank. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or what. Here's my thread if anyone's curious or would like to take a stab at figuring this out with me http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-nautilus-mini-leaking-gurgling-bubbling.html
However, I'm going to Chicago over Christmas and need to have something that works. What's a good tank other than the Aspires? I have the beauty ring and the ego adapter so I don't mind if it's wider than the iStick.
I really can't see what all the fuss is about! RMS bah! I have used iStick since it came out and really happy. It is so simple to use ie: push buttons to adjust output to suit taste, how hard is that for the average user?.
Strange how a simple thread on a device quickly turns into a Electronic discussion on a $26 item.
Merry Christmas
I agree burnie! I have 4. No adapters, no problems with any of them. I love them. I just ordered 2 more plus a mini.
You don't need to be an engineer to be annoyed by mean- just try using a tank and burning your wick because the mean makes the voltage jump too high.
We expect reliability in a product, not lies. The iStick is a great device- IF you know what your getting in to. I use drippers so it was never a problem for me,but it's still good to know why my hits are scratchy.

Good to hear you found a solution to that adapter problem. Breaking after such short use is really a bummer.
I've had mine since Sept and haven't burned a wick or juice yet. I really like the mean mode. I even changed my Vamo5 to mean but it still doesn't compare to the istick.
I should add that I vape 75-90% pg. I don't think that burns as easy as the thicker stuff.

Does anyone have any ideas whether Eleaf will be making the top cap available to replace?
Seems like that would be a really easy replacement process for those who have had the stripped out threads.
Just wondering if anyone might have heard or seen them available somewhere.
I agree, Burnie. I was running my MVP 2.0 right at 11w all day every day I have discovered with the iStick that I can get the same quality vapor and taste on a much lower wattage setting between 6.5 and 7.5w. I start out lower when the battery is fresh, and just occasionally have to adjust up as the battery drains or to find the "sweet spot" of different juices. I feel like the feature of the iStick that many people are freaking out about or don't like allows me to save my battery life! I like it so much that it is my current go-to setup, I bought two more so that I can always have a fully charged backup to swap out, and I'm super pleased to have a cheap, easy to use, compact setup that runs for days the way I vape. That is all I was ever looking for, cheap, decently made, compact and gets the job done.
What a brilliant idea. Eleaf would just have to make a SS version of the top cap available with a spring-loaded center pin.
It would require unsoldering & soldering and a bit of fiddling. I would think this would leave a far majority of the iStick's demographics out of the process/upgrade. I can't believe that Eleaf will do this for a product they make for $3-4 and sell for $7-8.
Still a brilliant idea. Maybe a third party will design & sell a replacement top cap.
A top cap was already designed by one of our members. I have 2 of them, one in use. It's laser cut from acrylic and works great. It's posted in this thread and over in the modding forum.
