would you guys buy another one? There's the Cloupor mini 30 watt and another mini 30 watt I can't think of right now that both take a 18650 battery. I'd jump on one of those if my istick took a dump.
I have five iSticks, all performing well, all in service. I bought one early on three months ago, and added another each time I found a great price. My average cost for all five was $24 each shipped. Yes, I am careful with their 510 connectors and micro-USB charging ports, since both those parts are obviously failure-prone. Right now, all mine are outfitted with Aspire devices (Mini Nauts, CE5Ss, or K1s), but I could use Kanger tanks on them if needed, since the jury is still out on the safety of Aspire's wicking materials. So far, I continue to use the BVC coils, because they provide about the best convenience vape around, short of dripping or higher-end RTAs. I rebuild all my Kanger heads with pre-built NR-R-NR coils from FastTech (4-6¢ each, depending on gauge and resistance) and rayon wicks, so I can make them 2.0-2.4 ohms if I want, which seems about right for Kangers on the iStick, with its elevated low-end voltage.
My positive experience aside, I won't buy another iStick, mainly because five is enough (LOL), and also because I'm interested to see if the competition can come up with small, inexpensive 30-watt APVs that effectively address the iStick's weak points. To that end, I've pre-ordered a Cloupor Mini 30 watt for $29.99 shipped, with expected delivery by mid-January. User opinions are all over the map about Cloupor, but for that price I figured tossing the dice wasn't risking much.
