When I was training my beloved Spock (RIP 12/10/14 at 14++ yrs old) and I would ask him do something he did not understand he would give me that exact look. He did have the ears, too (Belgian Tervuren). He lived long and prospered, and had a peaceful long life.

Back on topic, sorry....

RIP Spock....... oh clnire. :( I'm so so sorry.

I have just ordered an istick after trying to get through this thread. I still don't get the watts and ohms discussion so I am hoping I can figure it out with the istick and mini naughty... coming from ego style I should be fine right?

Dyanne, you'll be fine. It might be worth your while to forget about all the numbers altogether. Just set the iStick to the lowest voltage and then if you need to increase it, just number on up slowly.

Vape to taste...... you'll be fine. Enjoy it!

Thank you I was getting very confuzzled with all the tech speak lol.

The best thing you can do to your PT coils is to rebuild them (and add AFC bases). There are many good tutorials here and on the Tube:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ank-cotton-rebuild-way-i-do.html#post10574912

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...rotank-microcoil-discussion.html#post11155193

Other that that, you can only expect so much from those tiny stock coils.

Actually I've been rebuilding them for maybe a year now -- well until I took up dripping earlier this year anyway. Now they hardly get any use at all. I keep one loaded or at least ready to be loaded for those few longer road trips. Such trips are rather infrequent since I live on an island....:)

I ordered some mini bases too. I do rebuild my kanger coils and I am very happy with them. I have AFCs for my full size Davide and Protank but use mostly minis. Curious how the air control will improve the minis I am already happy with.

I drilled the air hole of an A6 dripper out a few weeks ago. Now the Mini PT the airflow in the Mini PT seems woefully inadequate, so I thought I'd try the Aero bases. Hopefully that will solve my occasional (very occasional) need for a tank style delivery system. I'm hoping the increase in airflow will help me get a little more vapor and flavor out of the thing. <shrug>

Crackling, lots of it. After vaping a tank, the chamber is full of lots of ejuice. It's not necessarily spitting but I am getting ejuice in my mouth. I have to clean it out with a napkin every time. Tried new coils, different ejuices, changed wattages, pulling softly, different air flows, etc.

I had the same problem when I first got my mini. I read a suggestion somewhere (not here) to screw the coil into the chimney part first, then put the cap on. That helped some, but I think I found the best suggestion yet in this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ov0uC4UZW3A

Also, make sure you don't overfill the tank. I've made that mistake too.

HTH and good luck!

Edited to Add: I just tried the tip in the video (closing airholes before re-assembly) and screwed the coil into the cap, then onto the tank. Flipped over with the airhole still closed, and it works perfectly in mine. I have had issues with flooding, gurgling, popping, etc. This seems to work, so give it a try if you haven't already.

You can also use PT single coils in your Aerotanks without modification. Just saying. :)

Hi Dyanee! My friend Kat is right. Just keep it at its lowest setting... iStick's 3 volts should be equivalent to 4.2 volts on any other, properly calibrated, device. :p

Exactly!! Just close (shut off) the air flow entirely before unscrewing to refill and you can't go wrong). That is the only problem that I ever had and I did see that tip and it worked miracles. I haven't had a problem since. :) Do not throw them out! Send them my way. No, just kidding... just sayin'... I have 4 and counting and I love them! :toast:

I'll just add that I don't need 50 watts, but will most likely get one of these because the battery life will be utterly AMAZING at 20-30 watts :D
