I like the fact that the 30w, has practically the same dimensions as the 20w. I personally haven't had issues with the threading.
So if the 30w fixes the power management issues, and 510 issues, in the same form factor, while allowing me to sub ohm if i want in the future, them im in!
My only "doh!" is i just got a new ipv mini yesterday!
I just took a quick look at that. It's very cool looking! :)

Some people like myself have threading issues. Might want to use the 510 to ego adapter that is supplies with it. Also it runs hotter mean vs rms so if your use to low volts it could be burnt tasting for you. Also center pin is fixed so over time if you don't use the adapter it could push down and not read your atomizer.
For the $$$ you paid it's a great little devise it just needed some tweaks that everyone hopes was fixed with the 30 & 50 watt models coming out.
I'm holding out and looking into the cloupor mini segeli mini and mvp3

Sounds like finicky junk to me. Why have a thread with over 8000 posts about it? My wife runs 7w on her VV3 and she needs the 510 connection for her tanks. I guess I should have read the thread. I thought I was getting her an upgrade. I think I've lost interest in their upcoming mods too.

She'll just have to turn down the watts. Use the adapter for the 510 connection. It's a big improvement on battery life from the VV3

ipv mini looks nice, and can be had for under $50. How you liking it?

I'll be brief, since i don't want to get banged on for posting on the Istick thread.

Solid. Very well built, and weighty.
Has presets. Funky user interface.
510 platform. spring loaded, but to easy to unscrew.
Vapes well and consistently.
P.M. me if you want more info.
Based on 1 days use!

Battery life and size were what caught my eye with this thing. Is the 510 connection in the adapter good? I guess she'll have to use a beauty ring with her tanks if I don't decide to return it. Sounds like they have a quality control issue or a quality issue period. I like to buy her stuff that I don't have to constantly fiddle with.

I haven't had any trouble with the connection in the adapter. Or look on Mad Vapes site for the "circuit board spacer". It's $0.89. It's a tiny disk you drop into the 510 connection that helps your tanks make connection.

I have 2 and have had no problems. I vape on the low end. I love 'em. Those us us that don't have problems don't post much anymore, so all you hear are the complaints. I bought the bending adapter because I was already paying for shipping on the case, and it was only $5. But I took it back off because I don't really need it and I don't have any problems with my threads or my pin, or the port.... It's just what I wanted and performs just like I need it to.
I got the first one on Oct 10 and the 2nd on Nov 5th.
Best $50.00 I've spent on vape gear!! My freaking NPRO was $60!

If she likes 7 W on the VV v3, then the Istick will probably seem too hot. At least that was my experience. Turning down the wattage on the Istick is not very effective, the way the power management is set up.

I have a VV3 that I usually run around 7.5 or 8.0 with 1.5-1.8 coils. On the istick, I use 1.8+ ohm coils and it does fine in lower wattages. But I do have to turn it down between 5-6.

That's whay Im sayin. I didn't know it wouldn't perform at low wattage like it should. And she doesn't need thread problems. Exactly what is the problem with the threads. Are they rough, loose, easy to cross thread or hard to start, all of the above?
