So--those of you that have had the 30w for a couple days now--still feelin good about it--no issues(beyond rattlin buttons)?

All it did was make me want a 50W more

Not that I need the power, but because eleaf DID fix all the issues with the original 20W, and the 30W is damn-near perfect. No regrets, and will pick up a few more just to have if the cash allows.

I have no issues at all. I've been putting it through the wringer. I've dropped it pretty hard on a tile floor several times. It seems to slip from a shirt pocket easily :)

I subbed with it usin a Plume Veil. Wide open on a .4 ohm dual coil/ rayon wicks. It pushed it pretty good. Big clouds and great flavor and the charge held up better than I thought. Probably cause I didn't take as many hits, but I was still impressed. It hasn't misfired once and the tape is still keepin the button from rattlin. This is by far the best money I've spent on a vapin device to date. I'm really wantin to see how the 50 performs.

Still feeling good, no regrets at all. Got a second one probably arriving Tuesday. The rattlin buttons are personality, I'm aware of them, they don't bother me though.

I have not been able to find any fault with the 30W for my vaping style. I enjoy it immensely.

Some things users might like to know...

Vaping somewhat heavily above 20W, the iStick 30W will not get you through an entire day without recharging.

Don't plan on running the 30W below 3V. Under 3V, the chipset reverts to unfiltered PWM with a Vpk of 5V, tuned to Vavg. A setting of 2.9V dissipates more wattage than the 3V setting.

Starting around 4V, the signal flattens out immensely to almost pure DC.

If you're happy running from 3.3V to 8V, the iStick is really hard to beat for the money. The 50W is bound to fly off the virtual shelves...

 Also...
"Question of the day:
As of 2015, Canada does not have a designated national bird. The US has their Eagle, England her Robin and France has it's Rooster and we should have....

The Pileated Woodpecker
The Snowy Owl
The Red-tailed Hawk
The Bracebridge Wolperdinger
The Great Blue Heron
The Common Loon
Other "

This is the most important decision facing our nation in many years --we would appreciate input from all you that have already made this choice. It is tearing us apart!

Of course I voted for the majestic Common Loon

Sure, shack! I can do that!

I think...... I'm pretty sure..... I'm almost positive that each post said, "OOOOOOOOOOO LOOK, SHINY!"

Press button. Vape. Grunt "ahhh". :vapor:

As far as your bird goes, I'd like to place my vote also for the Wolperdinger. The Horchelagans and their 'Dingers. Yup, it just makes sense.

In the very brief moments of vaping on my new iStick 30W from evape.us that I had before discovering that it was defective (either the chip was overheating or the temperature sensor was faulty; either way, the unit shuts off at 10W), I liked it. It wasn't different in any obvious way from the vaping experience with my iStick 20s, but I appreciated eLeaf's addition of a floating pin and stainless steel threads on the 510 connector and sub-ohm enabling. I couldn't tell if the extra 10 watts made a difference, since mine was defective and wouldn't fire above 10 watts.

I left a message through evape's contact page explaining the problem and requesting information about how to exchange it (RMA number? special mailing address?), but have heard nothing back from evape after two days, so I emailed them this morning. I hope they're just busy rather than not paying attention.

A well thought out analysis in "laywoman's language"--just what I was hoping for--thanks Kat!

Wolperdinger it is(turns out the loon is Minnesota's state bird)-- looks like a pretty cool bird according to Google images!

Question: Is the istick on fasttech authentic? They seem to have the full 20W kit (including charger and eGo adapter) for about $33.

-Rachel

Rachel,

I don't know this for sure, but I'm inclined to think that all the various alternative iStick 20s on fasttech are not reverse-engineered clones, but probably re-branded units purchased at wholesale from eLeaf and supplied from the factory that makes the authentic eLeaf iStick.

The different finishes/skins and logos on the alternates could be arranged through the eLeaf factory as special orders, or the iSticks could be purchased unfinished and the finishes added by another facility.

Thank you. I got the one that was listed as 'Authentic'. I'm happy with the 20w price and don't really mind if it's a clone, as long as it works!!! It'll be my 2nd istick 20w. I hate having nothing to vape on when the mod is charging so this will fix that problem ;)

I'll check the scratch and check code when it comes in and report back!!!

I have yet to see silicone cases for the iStick family...

Sweet Vapes has them listed, but shows OUT OF STOCK. They seem to be the only vendor that seems to list/carry all of the iStick accessories first. A few vendors might get them in later, but Sweet Vapes seems to have first pickings from the distributor.

I will say I have 2 of the 50Ws on preorder but this is a little concerning from VapeNW's Facebook page:

ATTENTION: Some of our iStick 30W devices have deffective 510 threads due to manufacturer machining. If you are encountering a threading issue, please contact us to return your device and receive a full refund. We will ship out more iStick 30W when we receive the second batch. We apologize for any inconveniences.
