Just got a 30W a couple hours ago, and I have a performance question....
I started vaping on it with an Atlantis, airway 3/4 open, lowered to 25 watts. Planning on switching over to Protank 3 in a little while, just to see how the istick performs with a different tank attached. Any recommended setting changes? (airway/voltage/wattage)

Don't have the 30 (yet), but I use my 20 with my dual-coil Kanger tanks at it's lowest settings.

Kanger recommends 5-7.5W per single coil. With duals, I like 4-4.6v (real volts ) or 10-12 watts (which translates to 5-6 watts per coil). I'm not sure how accurate the iStick 30 is though. Start low and work your way up til you hit your sweet spot. :)

:D That's it, rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

And yes, siliconia, at it's best, will eliminate most noises. (other than the "oooooooos and ahhhhhhhs" and the "where's my lint brush?") ;)

CRAFT. Insidious I tell ya.

Your girls are looking beautiful this morning. Report on their latest finery, please? First impressions. Value for the price ($1.15). Fit and finish. Noticeable seam. Access to the buttons. Feel in the hand. Lint magnet. Ease of getting it on the iStick. Improvements you would like to see. Anything and everything you would like to share.

Thank you.

Thank you, sisu. First impression? I like.

The value for a buck 15? LOL, yes, I'd say it's a great value. The fit is excellent. It's a snug glove, but not so snug that removal is difficult. It does not move about at all once it's in place. The finish is fine. It's a soft rubbery feel and definitely adds grippability. There are two seams that are noticeable, but not noteworthy. They traverse the vertical just in the middle of each logo. The sleeve has outlined but not perforated shapes over the fire button and the adjustment buttons. The screen display area is open completely. Those outlines are slightly raised giving it a good tactile feel for location, and finger placement, and the press is as easy as pie. Hand feel for me is quite nice. It will not slip out of your hand and that's fer sure! I've noticed not a drop or speck of lint or any dustiness attaching itself to the sleeve....... yet. ;)

There is one observation I'd like to add. The pink and black are opaque. The white, on the other hand, is definitely translucent.

Got my Istick 30w (black) 3 days ago.
LOVE IT.
I didn't want the 20, smaller battery, voltage issues.
The 50, don't want the wait, don't need the bigger battery and thus size, nor the extra wattage.
The 30w is so perfect for me.
And the voltage.... supposed to be ~ accurate RMS above 3 volts.

Mainly using an Aspire K1 on it, 1.6 ohm, BVC, ~7w.
Love the K1. Sleek and no gurgles. A bit airy for me. I plugged 1 of the 2 air holes with a broken off toothpick.

Thought the 30w might get me closer to 2 days..... nope. But it does about get me 1.
Mild button rattle. No biggie.
The vape DOES seem odd/different/?'rattlesnake'? under 3.0v, but that's like 5w on 1.6 ohms so not an issue ABOVE 5w.
Turning it OFF while charging gives a large battery display, and the bars fill in a different manner.
A 15 second cutoff would be better for my vape style... I have to 'pulse' it to keep it firing for my long, slow, multiple mouth-lung low wattage draws.

Glad to read that you like your iStick 30. Not sure what you mean by "smaller battery." The iStick 20W and 30W use the same 2200mAh LiPo battery.

Wow- I haven't been here for awhile- when this thread was only 300 posts- now over 1000- this is still a great PV. I have...9 20 watts and a mini ----they replaced my egos. I don't use high voltage and the 10 watts is still the top for my tanks.
I've had absolutely no trouble with any of them except one that's a wee bit finicky regarding what tank you use- so I have a dedicated tank for it and use it when I'm out and about doing chores- if I drop it or break it- it's ok, there are backups.

I am looking forward to the 50 watts only for the battery life- even with GS-Airs which are made for the iSticks, I don't use high watts- or things start tasting weird. I have another mini coming because frankly they are just so CUTE.

amoca,

You may take the blue ribbon thread prize for most iSticks owned by one person. Nine iStick 20s and an iStick Mini (plus another on the way) gives you 11.

Beats my five iStick 20s and two 30s by a mile, well, by four anyway. As happy as I've been with my iStick 20s, I'm thinking of putting them up on the Classies. Why? I vape a little higher wattage than you---from 10 to 18 watts, depending on the tank. The iStick 30W gives me more headroom, and I like the, ahem, "improvements"---floating positive pin and stainless steel threads on the 510 connector, plus the more intuitive and automatic way of scrolling to select wattage.

I also have a Cloupor Mini 30W with another on the way, and I like the Cloupor even more than the iStick 30W. Yeah, I know, there's big kerfuffle about Cloupor Minis with bad chips that overheated and melted down, but mine works flawlessly, and I prefer to swap out 18650 IMRs rather than USB-charge non-removable LiPo batts.

I don't need 50 watts, but so many small-size 50-watt-and-higher boxes are in the pipeline now and will be showing up in the months ahead that I'll probably pop for at least one. If I do decide to sell my iStick 20s, I won't ask a lot for them (I paid only $120 shipped for all five)---just enough to get some mad money for a higher-wattage mini box.
