If you can wait till Wednesday, I'll give you my thoughts about the GS Air tank. It's getting rave reviews. And it can be had for under 10 bucks.

I'm using Kanger Aerotanks, but they are more expensive. You may find a Genitank for a bit less money--they are basically non-stainless steel versions of Aerotanks. My favorite ATM is the Emow mega ($18 or so).

How much are you willing to spend?

I think the GS air is more in my budget. I just hate that i just bought a ton of BDCs which I've never had a problem with. I only have used them with EGO-T batteries though.

Sure, i can wait. i won't have mine until after then anyway.

Thanks. I'll keep up with the thread and see what you think.

EDIT: I didn't get the free upgrade to Priority just free first class. It says estimated Friday so I have plenty of time.

The mail out here in Northern California as been slow for weeks now. First class takes 5 days at least. One package I ordered last Monday and went out that day didn't arrive until today(the following Monday) They must be trying to push priority.. I always ordered first class with my packages because the time was the same.

Hey, use them up--if they work fine on your eGos, then go for it!

And in the meantime, you may enjoy reading this thread:

Help please...

Got my iStick 20W a few days ago and it's great! It's my first box mod, and first vw/v v device. If I'd seen the 30W's so cheap now... Oh well, it's great so far.

My question.. I haven't been able to find a posting anywhere online about recommended watts/ volts for certain ohm single/dual coils. I have seen that chart wayy earlier in this thread but I don't think that's what I'm looking for because I burnt my juice at 10w like the chart said I should do. (I think?) I also read to start low and work up to what works best which I did.

Okay, I have have a Protank 3 with a 1.8 ohm coil on my Eleaf iStick.
I started low with watts and around 3.2v to start. I found 6.3 to 7.0 watts and 3.3 to 3.8 volts was giving a good warm vape with a 50/50 mix eliquid. Then I ran
out of that liquid and changed to a lighter liquid with probably around a 70/30 PG/VG mix. Now, no matter where I set the thing, the coils are always crackling for
most of the draw. The vape is good, but is this okay for the coils, or will they run out faster like this?

I also will be using a Kanger T3/s tank and an Evod tank on my iStick, both I believe use a single coil. Will this make a difference at 1.8 ohms? Do
you think I will need to drastically change my settings lower when I put these on? The reason I ask is I see people on youtube easily vaping at 10-12 watts with
no problem? Is it the voltage that makes the big difference? Is there a chart that anyone knows of with optimum settings for what tank or coils you are using?
I also have a protank II coming, but that should be similar to the protank 3. I believe they are both dual coiled.

I can't believe I'm like a newb again even though I've been vaping since 2009. You slow down for a couple years and it's all changed big time! I still have all my old 510 and ego batteries, cartridges, and tons of old cartomizers. I can't believe how far the vaping world has come! And how fast! At least I'm back in the game, and everything is soooo much cheaper now! I remember those first 5mL tanks with the delrin end caps costed like forty or fifty bucks at COV. That guy started something big huh?

Thanks for the help, Pete.
I hate to be that guy but I would ditch the protanks n evods. Old technology, ( I just gave away a pt1 and pt2 myself) you will get a much much more satisfying vape from the newer clearos.

Plus with the iStick, I think it will be too hot for the Protank coils anyways.

If you hate to be that guy, don't be that guy.

Telling a fellow vaper to ditch his gear is rarely helpful--unless he's using CE4 clearos.

Kanger makes very good tanks--I've been using them for over two years now without a problem. Really.

Just sayin'...

I never had a good experience with the Protanks from Kangertech -- but I still love the vape off a T2.

I've used them all--T2, T3, eVod, PTs, Aerotanks. There's a learning curve there, not a big one. ProTanks were my least favorite, but I now use them with Aerotank AFC valves and they work great. Even better if you rebuild the coils. Emow is my favorite.

A few tips for those who struggle with Kanger coils:

Yeah and the 30 will sub-ohm good and so will my 50's if they ever get here:)
I want to hear your take on the GS air tank too. I bought some ViviNovas cheap and they flood easily.

And to Brun3d,,,

Agree with the pokes on all that was said. I'm enjoying the Air Tank, big time. In some ways, even a bit more than my Naughties. The flavor is more pronounced. Hang on.... I think I said it better the first time around in the Air Tank thread....

Reason I asked if PokeMOM---:) has a GS tank....a supplier sent me two packages of Eleaf BDC 1.8 ohm heads by mistake, if someone has a GS let me know, I'll send them to you.

inspects, you might want to list them on the Classies...

(pokes..... good twisting threads job!)

Just ordered a istick 30w and Kanger subtank mini. Does anyone have this setup? Maybe a pic of this combo, and thoughts? Thanks.

Yes - this is my new go-to, hassle-free set up. Love it. I am vaping .5-ohm Kanger coils at just 10 watts and cannot believe the vapor production. This combo is fantastic, though I am very intrigued by the Melo - especially at 20 bucks.

My Protanks were sitting in a drawer for a long time. When I got my Istick however I wanted something lighter for them besides my Kayfuns. I learned how to rebuild the Protank coils and it has brought new life back into them!

OT if anyone has any used Protank heads they don't want please PM me.

THanks!
