Gotta say, I picked up a GS Air after all the talk and don't really care for it. It doesn't hold enough juice for me and even though I removed the little screw I don't feel like it gets enough air for me. And it whistles now. Annoys the crap out of me, and I feel like its too loud to use at work.

I still have the screw and a box of coils, if anyone wants it.

Some sites say it holds 1.5ml and some sited say 2.5ml. Can you verify how much it holds?

Many reviews of the new iStick 50W stated it might be better suited for left handed people because of the screen placement. I'm right handed and have been using my thumb to fire the rectangle firing button that curves nicely around the body. I have no trouble reading the screen, and I haven't accidentally changed my wattage settings, either. And the button is a dream to use.It protrudes from the body of the iStick more than the 30Wm which means you can actually feel it, unlike the other versions.

I can see why Eleaf has been advertising the 50W as their "flagship" device, although it's the last release in the series (to date). It's the istick perfected.

My 30w has a raised button like you describe and my button doesn't rattle like most everyone else. The newer 30w may have a design change like the 50w. I noticed some sellers are saying some 30w may rattle and this is normal. Anyway, the fire button is definitely raised and feels firm. I was going to contact them and see if my serial number is a newer revision or what. The rattle thing bothers me that i don't have it. I like that is doesn't i just want to know why some do and some dont

Related to what you're talking about. When I found this I felt like I found an Easter egg even though it's probably a well known feature BUT just in case

Not sure about the istick 50w but the istick 30w

if you turn off the batt(click fire 5x) and press the arrow buttons together for 3-5 second it flips the screen

Yes, there is no button rattle on my new 30W, either. I've been testing out my 50W all evening, so haven't used the new 30W yet (my second). I will end up flipping the screen, like I had on my first 30W. But there is no need to do so on the 50W since it's already in the correct direction for my right-handed usage.

A bit of catch up here...... wow!

Love the avi, Katya <whispering>

Here you can see all of them--side by side. They all work--both on the full size (510 threaded) tanks and on the eGo threaded ones.

Kanger Air Flow control Valve Base Replacements

Good for Mr. Gormly. He is always on top of stuff. I tip my hat to that guy, truly.

^^^ Duct Tape............

Again with the tape, Bike? ;)

Received my silicone cases from Sweet-Vapes today, and LOVE them!!! They fit like a glove, and give this great device an even greater feel! Plus, it kills any button rattle on the istick. ;)

I agree completely. I'm VERY happy with the little sleevies. I've had them about 2 weeks now, and no lint, no stretching, no nothing but a smooth but grippy feel. Good stuff for cheap.

I know. I'm so surprised. I knew it would be good--it was getting rave reviews, but I didn't think it would be that good.

But, but, but..... I TOLD you it was good. ;)

I really do like the new little Air Tank. I'm not ready to toss out my Naughties, but it's a very nice addition to the small army of tanklets.

Ack, all this Eleaf Air tank talk....must not buy another tank.

And I know that the Naut mini will be dethroned any day now, but is this really the one? I'm waiting for a bigger capacity tank I think. I love my Silo, but I don't understand the silo mini love, which I know many prefer to the Naut mini. The lack of airflow killed it for me. Does the air have anything different like that (I see that it has the airflow adjuster) but anything else to note?

Edit: Just saw that you need a screwdriver to adjust- and I'm out. I'm far too lazy :)

Shark Tank fan? :D

You don't need to toss them, but you may want to stock up. Aspire is switching to cotton wicks in their BVC coils. No more fiberglass.

I finally got my black silicone cover and Kanger Subtank Mini for the iStick 30. Shipping from Sweet Vapes (only one state over from me) was pretty quick (2 days). The silicone cover is thinner than i thought it would be - which is a good thing. It was slow going slipping it on. Now that it is on, I'm really liking it. It feels very much like the iStick would if it came from the factory with a built-in rubber coating finish. So far, it totally eliminates button rattle. The iStick's button rattling turned out to be more of an annoyance than I originally thought it would be.

Now to the Subtank Mini. It looks better than I thought it would. It fits very flush on my iStick, and reads on the iStick as 1.2 to 1.3 ohm, which is what it should read. The red o-ring seals go well aesthetically with the black silicone cover. Apparently Kanger (or some other vendor) is coming out with o-ring seals in different colors - clear, pink, blue and black:

The Subtank Mini is actually shorter on my iStick than my Mini Nautilus, but the Subtank is fatter, and clearly heavier. It holds about twice the juice though, which I like. All my Subtank Mini components came covered in a clearly visible thin film of machine lubricant, so I had to wash everything out before using it for the first time. My preference is for the 1.2 ohm OCC head, so that is what I'm using. I haven't tried the 0.5 ohm head yet. This thing is definitely a beast. I'm still trying to get the thing dialed-in to a comfortable and satisfying vape. I'm a mouth-to-lunger, so that has been difficult - even using the 1.2 ohm head.

My biggest issue with the Subtank I've had so far is with juice popping when I start taking a drag. The popping sound is pretty noticeably loud, and almost scary. I've had no hot juice spitting though, so that's good. The 12mg juice I'm using is all VG stuff I had to thin quite a bit to run well in my stupid Mini Nautilus. It is obviously too thin for the Subtank. I've got some 6mg "high performance" non-PG juice on the way which should (I hope) work better. I hope it shows up soon. Throat hit on the Subtank is crazy with 12mg juice. It makes my nose run.

Even my incoming 6mg juice may still be too strong for this device. I may have to go to 3mg nicotine juice for the first time in my life. Relative vapor heat is also fairly high, but I'll be able to adjust my wattage better once I get a more suitable (thicker) juice. Vapor is certainly warm, but not hot. It is the mouthpiece that tends to get hot. A heat sink type drip tip is probably in order. At first, I was running the device at fairly low wattage (8-12 watts), but I get less popping and less heat at higher wattage levels (up to about 20 watts). I can only do about a 2 second draw for now, so vapor production isn't amazing, but it is very good. Flavor delivery is impressive, but that big pop I get nearly every time I take a drag is very distracting.

One other annoyance while I'm trying to dial this tank in is the airflow intake adjustment dial. It is so stiff that I can't dial it more open without unintentionally unscrewing the tank halfway off my iStick. I don't know if it will loosen up over time, but by then I'll probably be set where I want to be and it won't matter. Currently I keep going back to the 2-hole position, and running the tank at about 18 watts - which occasionally prevents popping with the juice I'm using. The largest air intake setting reduces popping a bit too, but the draw is a bit too airy for mouth-to-lung hits, and TH gets to be a bit much, though flavor delivery then improves even more.

I've had no leak issues so far. I can see the attraction to this tank. It is a good sub ohm match to the iStick 30. I'm not all that sure it will be for me yet. Better juice, and maybe more of a break-in period, will let me know for sure. If you are a mouth-to-lung guy or gal, you probably really don't need to try any of these "sub ohm" tanks, but I can understand being curious enough to buy one anyway. I certainly did. The RBA portion of the Subtank Mini is a pretty simple looking setup which I have not had a chance to try yet. Users of the RBA portion report that it is a little bit easier to work with than a Kayfun, despite the small size of the deck. For the money, considering what you get with the tank, it is not a bad deal.

Oh, and I think the silicone covers for the iSticks are an even better deal. Well worth the ~$3.50 I spent for mine. I can't imagine my iStick 30 without it now. They should include one of these with every full iStick kit, or just rubberize the original finish like they should have in the first place!

The price and ease of use is going to win a lot of mod intimidated vapors over. They made a good product line and made it accessible in usage and price

I stumbled on this simply by pricing new EGO-T batteries I use with CE5 tanks. I had no idea the evolution mods had gone through. I was never interested in a big boxy battery mod. I have a bunch of 18650 batteries i use for other things but mods just seemed too "involved" for my purposes.

If the price point wasn't so low I never would have made the leap.

I could have purchased two more generic Ego-Ts for $20 or so or I could get a cool little 10w istick for the same price. Then I noticed for $10 more i could get a cool little 30w one.

I'm, so,far, really impressed with everything. The packaging, the build quality, the features and I've only used it with CE5 tanks so far. Saturday(I pray USPS isn't late) I'll have a GS Air to play with.

Time will tell if it holds up. I think the 50w is probably the better deal as you only have to charge it half as much. The battery should last quite a bit longer before it starts losing capacity

Sorry Folks!
My little 20W is going to be a backup device for a while, now that the IPV2S has arrived. I am looking to play with a few subohm builds. ;)

You build that top cap on the 20w? The one I have is quite a bit taller. My wife is using it and I'm a little worried that she'll drop it and shatter the cap like I did mine before I can replace her 30w that she destroyed the charge port on lol. Obviously she's technology challenged. Mini port chargers are a challenge unless it's that bidirectional iphone charger that's impossible to screw up.
