OK, so I ordered and received my 50watt (RockyMountain Vapor / coupon code "forum" / $45.00/ free shipping) in two days......happy happy!!!.......but
I don't know if I'm goofy, or inexperienced with proper spring 510 connections or what? Here is the deal...I'm using a TOHB atty screwed down snug......not over tight....never over tightened anything ever...never messed up any threads or other devices ever!

The build is a 0.8 ohm coil....when I pull the top cap to drip....it reads 1.0 or 1.1....wiggle it and I'm back to 0.8.......vape vape pull top cap and it goes wonky again.....I can't possible tighten it any more!

And yes this is a good build, tight connections, have been using it prior to yesterday on my dna 30 watt box mod with no issues.

Don't get me wrong....I love this thing and my other two 20watts......just wondering if anybody else with one has had this happen........or do I just need to SNUG it up good and tight and trust that I won't jack up the 510 pin?

vaping a diy andes mint at 21.5 watts/ 4.1 volts...........:toast:
Check your atomizer, it sounds like something is loose. Make sure the posts are tight and a screw hasn't gotten loose in the posts. Or maybe adjust the 510 screw out a little?

I miss my Zippo, used both kinds of lighters.
Same with my vape gear - built in batteries and replaceable, doesn't bother me either way.

I too reminisce about that good ole lighter fluid taste with my first draw on a cancer stick. The feeling doesn't last long as soon as I hit some Moonberry! :)

Hi guys. I'm an MVP 20w user. Love it, but switching teams. MVP is going to be my out of the house /backup battery. The 50w is too hard to pass up for a few reasons.

The wife wants one to lay with now too. Since she doesn't vape much, would the 20w be ok? I know there were thread issues, and rattles, but if it's treated gently, would it negate the issues?

Does the bending adapter fix the thread issues? If I add the bendy adapter, I might as well just get the 30watt instead. I just answered my own question I think.

Can you guys put my mind at ease and tell me the build quality is on par with the MVP?

Get the 30w. I haven't got my 50's yet but the 30 I can say is every bit as good of quality as an MVP

I've never owned any other mod but this. Get the 30W. Stainless Steel threads, spring loaded 510, and improved chip. Only a few dollars more.

Bring back that Zippo feeling with the Vintage Eliquid collection.
I really need to try some of these, just for the Zippo style cases. :)

The extra couple dollars premium for the 30W (over the 20) is well worth it; good regulation, solid 510 connection, etc. I would not recommend ANYONE purchase a 20W any longer unless they found a $15 clearance somewhere...
And the 20 don't regulate below 4 volts so you best use a 2.0 ohm coil or better.

The 20's were the basis for this thread but they were pretty much "beta" models.
On saying that my 20 is still working quite nicely apart from the janky 510 threads.

Now you're really making me miss my Zippo!

Gave myself blisters learning some of these Zippo tricks...

I was sitting here trying my old Protank III with a 1.5 ohm coil, vaping at 6.5 watts. I took it off and put it on my 20, set it to volts and turned it down to 3 volts. Blew a hell of a cloud. Put it back on the 50, turned it down to 3 volts and just got a tiny wisp of vapor....................I dunno.

EDIT: Been here all day trying all kinds of older stuff. I'm going to hang on to all of it. At least for a while..

The 20 won't regulate below 4 volts. Set your 50 at 4 and blow clouds :) The 20 has a mean output reading and will read 3 volts but the output will closer to what 4v is on your 50
