My apologies. I don't know how it happend but opened tank up to look and my rba came loosened up some how.
----------------
Figured I would ask in here, but anyhow I recieved my 50 w today. I was originally using istick30w with subtank mini and always read .6 now I put subtank mini on 50 and the ohms almost change with every vape. From sounding normal compared to 30w to a jet engine with power. Its jumping from anywhere .7 to 1.2 ohms. Anyone have this issue?

My coils read exactly the same on my 50's and 30. They also perform identical at the same power. Maybe something happened with the tank.

Mine reads .1 higher than my 30. The rba base being loose caused my ohms to jump crazy, now its steady. But after looking one side of my wick looks clean and the other side which I notice bubbles come from is pretty dark.
I don't think the difference can be called a whole tenth of an ohm. I just did this little test
1.5 ohm coil---Black 30w 1.5, Silver 50w 1.5, Black 50w 1.6
1.5 ohm coil---Black 30w 1.5, Silver 50w 1.6, Black 50w 1.5
2.0 ohm coil---Black 30w 1.9, Silver 50w 2.0, Black 50w 1.9
1.5 ohm coil---Black 30w 1.6, Silver 50w 1.6, Black 50w 1.6
0.9 ohm coil---Black 30w 0.9, Silver 50w 0.9, Black 50w 0.9
Because of the results on coils number 1,2 and 4, I think the coils are closer to 1.6 ohms than 1.5 ohms such as 1.59 or so. The silver read high on one coil while it was the black that read high on another. Also I got a 1.5 reading once on the Silver after trying it again with the same coil that read 1.6 the first time. that leads me to believe that if the coils were made closer to specs all three of the isticks would read the specified rating. :2c:

I'm no RBA pro -- My novice advice is to replace the coil. The ohm's jumping around is a sure sign of something --- but heck if I can remember what. I see, you may have debugged PART of the problem, but not all. Perhaps you jossled the coil or there is a screw loose----that looks like a hot spot and that's not so great either.

My wife says that's the cause of a lot of my problems......

so i took a leap and bought a sleeve for my 30w.....they said it was only for the 20w....but after reading in here about everyone saying that they should fit, i bought one (these i think are different than most the other sleeves i've seen) and it came in today and it's perfect....the exact color of the wrap i had been using :D

now it was a bit of a pain to get the thing on.....and it's just a tad bit too small around...so part of the sides around the display and button shows just a hair....

mines silver but it's not too bad....though it may annoy me enough that i might put a bit of the original wrap on there to make it blend in :D slightly ocd......
 dino at madtown vapor :D he knows i love orange so he got a set that came with orange :D

Does anyone make a sleeve for the 30W-ers?

If someone does, I would surely buy a few.

Have seen wraps (not into wraps), but no sleeves.

i'm loving this (well atm anyway) ordered a protank mini with the adjustable airflow and the 2ohm vertical coils
it's almost enough to make me love tanks again.....my eternity's might be benched for awhile
still trying to find a happy medium....two open holes is a bit airy one hole is a bit tight

I posted this elsewhere, but this looks like the right place for it...

A ha! I fixed my iStick! The insulator under the center pin of the 510 connector had degraded. I grabbed a teensy o-ring from one of my tanks, and stretched it around and under the center pin using a couple 1mm screwdrivers. Attys tighten down, and no short or odd ohm readings any more.

Don't you find that the chains get caught up on things? Everything looks great, but practically speaking?

They're FAR from practical (said the Bling Lover), and occasionally they're annoying as hell. But the price we pay to look beautiful..... ;0

ins, the sleeves I believe are identical for the 20s and the 30s. I got a bunch of them for a dollar and change and put them on a few 'Sticks, including the 30.

People seemed not to want to order from the site I used due to a potential delay in shipping. I had mine in just over a week. To me, worth it. :)
