Its definitely still a great device it just feels different in the hand that's about all I notice as far as using a 30w for awhile and using the 50w a couple days now. Still you can't go wrong with the 30w. Both are great. Ill be keeping my subtank mini on my 30w and once my youde goblin tank comes ill use that on my 50w.

8-o I'm a hair's breadth away from convincing myself I need a 50W - can I ask why ?

There is NOTHING wrong with the 50W. It is performing well, and is solid.

That said, it is heavy to me, kinda like the brick (that I used for ever) called the MVP 2. I left the MVP for the istick 20W, and it seems that I have come full circle. It is big in my hand, and although I like the button placement, I do not like the screen placement. It just isn't a comfortable device for me and it is too heavy for me to carry around, so it is just a home device. I can't see me carrying it out places.

I don't see me getting rid of it, I don't dislike it. It's just that if I need another device (which I am trying to convince myself that I don't), I would go with a 30W again. Granted, I have never had a tank that vapes well over 25 watts so the 30W isn't an issue.

lol ;) i'm convinced the istick turned into such a great success because of the way it feels in the hand :D

if the 50 feels different then a lot of people who love the 20 and 30 will not be impressed. on the other hand, anybody who felt the 30 was not substantial enough might prefer the 50.

i for one won't even try the 50. dimensions and weight have changed too much for my taste

I bought a 20w when they came out and just got a 50w this week, Im loving the size and feel of the 50 and it works great with the subtank mini as well as my KF V4 clone. It does have some weight to it compared to the 20w but its a good trade off for the crazy battery life its got, one happy customer here.

I have the 20 and the 50. For the last week I've been using the 50 with a subtank mini and a RY4 blend. Yesterday I picked up my neglected 20 with its lemo Drop and thug juice and I was amazed all over again. So tiny and light with a silky smooth vape, I think it missed me.
I might sell the subtank and get a 30 then pif the 20, then put the drop on the 30 and use the 50 just for my RDA, which is why I got it in the first place.

I'm staring right at mine as I type this...

    It's purple...PURPLE...

[I'm confident enough in my manhood to admit it was Pink...if it were PINK...but it's NOT...it is PURPLE!!!]

I think the 20W/30W-iSticks spoil you for using other Mods.

I, too, LOVED my MVP2's. But I, too, felt they felt like bricks after I got my (first) iStick (I subsequently PIF'd all 3 of my MVP2's).

Similarly...the IPV Mini looked like a pretty interesting Mod to add to my 20W/30W-iStick "collection". So when I found it on SALE...I jumped on it. I got it...unboxed it...put in an 18650...and in holding it...it feels like the lead bat the batter swings in the batter's box before going to the plate to "swing at the ball" with his 30W-iStick...

Not spring loaded. Also appears to be brass. I never had a problem w/any of my 3 20Ws but I have had one of my minis for less than a month & the pin already needed the oring fix.

My mini istick's center pin is not spring loaded but the ring around it is beefed up more than the 20W. You couldn't get anything under it. That said, I've not had the problems with it (nor the 30W), that I had with the 20W.

I have a variety of toppers (the majority--Nauty's) and a variety of Mods (the majority-20W/30W-iSticks) in my "rotation".

I came up with the harebrained scheme that I'd buy a couple small sized 1000mAh-ish batteries that I'd keep (charged up) by the door. Then when I would be headed out and about I'd take the topper(s) that had the most joose in them at the time (from my "rotation"). Because the toppers would be varied...I also decided I'd need batteries with a floating center pin and (at least) VV.

My two "candidates" were the Mini-iStick and the Innokin VV V4.

But...it turns out both the Mini and the V4 have fixed center pins! :nah:

So...am looking for suggestions for a smaller-than-the-30WiStick...1000mAh-ish...floating pin...VV...out and about battery.

Thanks Pokemom - I think like you I'd probably be better to go for another 30W (to add to my existing 20 and 30) ! I've also got a brick (MVP, LOL) which has never left the house and I don't need 50W either.

Not sure if this has been posted yet..

    Some dissembled pictures and review.

eLeaf iStick 50W disassembled | Ms. Nikita

Thanks for the post. Looks fairly easy to replace the batteries and work on it. I think Ms.Nikita would be happier with what we pay for the 50 on avg. $45 (30 lb) instead of 55lb ($83). I don't understand the higher price there unless it's taxed heavily.

I understand... my MPV2.0 sits in the drawer with only one holding - I didn't even put a topper on it  My 50W came today and I'll guess I have larger hands than you (unless you were that big-hand girl in Seinfeld :) I find it lighter than I thought it would be and it fits the hand well. Again, the Heatvape Defender is a better fit (and lighter) so that's still what I'll be taking out. The 50W is about the same size as my VS rDNA-40 but much lighter and the curved sides make it a more comfortable hold, imo.

That said, I have these devices for different reasons - the istick 50W for the 4400mAh mainly; The VS for the temp control and general solid build, and important to me - a replaceable batt. The Defender for a small box device that was better built than the istick 20 and works :) And the 30W istick for the same reason as the Defender, but the Defender still feels better in the hand - you may very well like it as well - plus the step downs in all, since I'm not a high watt vaper, but they all have the capability if I become one ;)

Is the Istick Mini 10w RMS or MEAN?

I haven't heard anybody say but I think they are mean little buggers. :) At higher volts RMS and Mean don't mean much anyway. I vape tanks around 4 to 4.5v so... At 1050 mah, they may be enough battery to get me thru a day at work. I might have to get a couple. 2 would be easy to carry and have a back up. I used to get by with an 850 ego. Yeah, I might just do that :)
