I've been experimenting a little with the GS Air. I kinda like inspects idea of just taking the airflow screw out all together. I'm getting better flavor with it like this. It's a bit RiceKrispity (for lack of a better description), but I'll probably do that for a day or 2 to see if I want to leave it out. Thanks inspects for the idea. :)

I'm usin the GSAs with the air wide open and screw still in and getting big hits and flavor. Just tried this one with the screw out and lost it tryin to put it back in so I guess I'll learn to like it. :) I went by a B&M and almost asked for Tootle Puffer coils . Guess I'll build some more. I could plug the hole in this thing or find another screw.....

 Yeah, I took mine out yesterday while sitting on the couch and I thought it was a gonner also. I found it on the floor. I guess it fell off my shirt when I stood up. I was throwing the idea around, finding a machine screw for it so you can adjust it without a screw driver, at one point. It might just end up in the way though. :)

Today I pre-ordered the SilverPlay RTA clone from fasttech. ETA is given as April 10th, but there's never any certainty to those estimated arrival dates. I added the faster USPS shipping option anyway (73¢ extra), so the total was $13.39 shipped.

I have a bevy of very nice RTAs---Kayfun Lites, Orchid V2s/V6s, Taifun V2s, Erlkonigins, plus many spare parts---mostly replacement chimneys and tanks (colored, bell, and glass) and a couple spare bases. Average price shipped was about $10 per RTA (all clones). I like them all, just as I enjoy my numerous RDAs. Did I need yet another RTA? No, of course not; heck, I don't "need" any more vaping gear for years to come---but vaping is my sole hobby at this point in my life, so, for such a low price, the SilverPlay RTA clone was definitely worth a shot.

The fasttech customer discussion forums are such a hoot! Posts range from thoughtful and helpful to completely absurd and ridiculous. I guess that's true of ECF and other vaping forums as well, but the fasttech forums are so much more over the top. A new product appears, and some people trash it before anyone even has one for review. Other people go ga-ga over the newest toy and immediately trash every other competing product as worthless by comparison. Both tendencies are among the less charming qualities of human beings.

Anyway, here's a link:

I ordered two of the Smowell DPV-50s---one from fasttech (for $39 pre-ordered a month and a half ago) and another more recently from gearbest when the price dropped to $32 bucks. The one from fasttech arrived on Saturday. It was DOA. The chip was defective and the display screen showed only gobbledygook (randomly changing pixels, like a kaleidoscope).

I'm not unhappy that it was defective, however. Construction seemed shoddy, and I had concerns about the chip anyway, since it's the same chip that had problems in the SMOK 50W box, the one they replaced immediately with the 65W version. I've even wondered about the possibility that SMOK dumped all those 50W chips dirt cheap to Smowell.

At any rate, now I'll get my $39 back from fasttech. Presuming that the second DPV-50 is not defective when it arrives from gearbest, I'll decide then whether it's worth keeping.

Update: Well, fasttech refused to give me a refund, despite my asking for one. They would agree only to send me a replacement unit. What? No refund for a defective product that I didn't like anyway? I didn't make a stink about it, but that seems like a bad business policy to me.

They did reimburse me for the return shipping cost ($3.30) to their U.S. facility in Florida, but then they asked me to email them when the package arrived in Miami to "remind them" to ship the replacement. That seemed weird to me, too. Why should it be my responsibility to help them keep track of their business?

This is the third time in about a hundred purchases that I've gotten defective merchandise from fasttech, and my first return. Overall, fasttech has been a boon to my vaping hobby and remains the cheapest source for much vaping hardware, so I'll keep buying from them. I'm disappointed, but not angry enough about it to cut off my nose to spite my face.

Had one ordered, when it missed the first shipping date I cancelled it, and grabbed an authentic.

btw - the m tanks seem to be in stock now and there's a certain fella in a certain section of the forum who might be just convinced if you all ask nicely ;)

Tibs, I've been stalking the interest section, but no post yet. Pray tell, "where" should we ask nicely???:pop::)

Flavor is pretty nice, probably the best dual coil native tank I have, wicking keeps up @80 watts on my IPV3, I prefer it around 40watts. Cloud chasers should love it. I've got a Silverplay on the way, I'll be surprised if it does better then this. Pretty happy with it so far, like it better then the Goblin, Juice control probably not really needed, maybe with really thin juice, but how many will run this with high PG juice.

Thanks for the info!

I will pass it along to my friend who has the Goblin, which seems to now weep juice around the fill screw onto his iStick 30W deck. I have suggested a couple wraps of plumbers tape on the fill screw as it really doesn't have a shoulder for an o-ring. Have you experienced any leaking?

I also ordered the Hotcig version FEV VS from focalecig today. They have them on sale for $15.80 and since both you and JeremyR praise the FEV's very highly, I just couldn't wait. :vapor:

But now the wait begins for it to arrive, I just hate waiting on vape mail... :D

Have him dry the screw and fill port after filling the goblin to avoid leaking. Anything more than that is unnecessary, at least on both of mine.

If it "weeps juice" that sounds like significant leaking, I doubt that is from the fill port. Most of the time when people think the goblin is leaking through the fill port, its not. I tried one of mine without the screw in the fill port and still no leaks. This was after 2 hours without the screw:
