They are a difficult tank, especially if you're not familiar with running them. That is a good idea, for now.

I used the mini protank for quite a while, it can be finicky.
It depended on your juice and how high of VG you used, youtube has a bunch of videos on how to tweak them:
Removing a flavor wick
reversing the silicon gasket on top of the coil and so on...
hope you get it fixed!
If you burned the wick once by turnin the watts too high it will taste burnt until you replace the coil or the wick. A burnt wick can also flavor the juice in the tank with a burnt taste.........
There's also some good info on fabricator4's blog here on ecf. I learned a lot off of him back when I was using the Kanger coils.
Yeah...just changed the coil. It's okay for now. I am going tomorrow though to change out the tank and get new coils. Ugh...who knew getting a new "toy" could cause so many issues...haha.
Try and grab a GS Air. Much easier to run.
Best place to buy one online? I went to the Eleaf site but it only tells about the GS Air...not where to buy one. I have not bought anything online besides e-juice. Not sure who to trust when it comes to hardware.

Same happens to me. The original Vapeonly head that were always dead on 1.8ohm read 1.6 on the istick 30. That's why I don't really like VW and prefer to set voltage myself. Neither I do ultra low builds, 1.3 is the optimum for me, maybe 1 ohm the lowest.
Same problem with the Vapeonlys. Vape at low voltages, if it keeps on giving burnt taste, with a pair of tweezers grab the slightless breeze of wick and pull out. Don't pull out too much or it'll flood. You'll soon find the balance of how much wick and power you need to vape it without tasting burnt or flooding.
Speaking of "Tampon de Gaze" take a look at this thread if you have not seen it yet. It's very long, the part I am referring to is from the most recent days. YES, people are rebuilding with tampons. Cheech, you DONT need to send me any! I got this one covered!It's about the same to rebuild. I've got a Subtank Mini and a Delta coming. But I really think the GSA is enuff for me at this point. The GSA on the Vapor shark was doin just as good as the ST Mini on the 30w. I don't know if she had a .5 or 1.2 coil in it. I think it was a 1.2. She had it set at 10 or 15w. I'm sure I could get more out of the mini but not sure I wanna do that or go back to subbin. I get plenty of satisfaction with the TPs
ETA: The cap on the coil head is a little hard to deal with when rebuildin. Also you'll need some Tampon de Gaze

..........................Well, then, I will do you a solid - since you sent me some gauze -- wouldn't want you to be embarrassed! My husband has made it through 40 years without having to do it! You'd think the things were kryptonite!!!
I STILL have not needed to use the gauze you sent me for rebuilding!! I did finally have ONE coil fizzle out on me. I've saved it and am hoping to get a few more before I do an assembly line rebuild. These things just keep going ....... But since Lynn is so good at rebuilding, I figure I'm gonna send her a big old bag of my dead GSAir coils and some of the best Nicoticket juice as payment, and then just let her knock herself out and mail my coils back to me! Crazy?? Or just possibly crazy enough to work??
