Interesting reply gerrymi, I wasn't rubbishing the web site at all. In fact reading through the faq's it was made quite clear the product wasn't suitable for everyone, I have no need for the stuff as e-cigs have worked for me 3 years plus now. I was intending to get some for my partner who is having a hard time trying to quit.
Anyway thanks for your input I will just wait until I can find out more.

I asked in the Aroma thread about the video...the replies were pretty quick:

"I do not understand the overlay on that video.
Would appear whoever put it there doesn't understand anything."

"That overlay is a recent addition to the video, it wasn't there previously.

There are 4 major alkaloids in tobacco:
Anatabine
Anabasine
Nornicotine
Nicotine

Anatabine is being looked at for helping people with Alzheimer's.

Anabasine can be lethal in large doses. But the concentration in tobacco is really low (0.008 - 0.030 milligrams per gram of tobacco). You would suffer nicotine poisoning before being killed by Anabasine.

Nornicotine on it's own, isn't bad, but when tobacco is cured Nornicotine turns into N-Nitrosonornicotine, which is a carcinogen in lab animals, but no studies have related N-Nitrosonornicotine to cancer in humans.

Nicotine, there are books and books, about it and it's effects.

The big question is which of these alkaloids, or combination of, are the rest of us looking for? No one knows, yet. Since nicotine accounts for 90% of the alkaloids in tobacco, everyone assumed that is what EVERYONE enjoyed when smoking. But obviously, there are those of us who don't fall into that category, since we can vape just nicotine and never get satisfied."

Morning Gerry. :) I was just wondering if someone could've hacked into that to put the caption in there. Just a thought. :)

I'm wondering that too...

Just to add...for someone thinking of, at least, trying WTA (as I said...after 21 months of vaping...I really didn't think it would have any worth for me) (but when the mental fog I had become accustomed to with nicotine-only ejuice lifted...I became a surprised "convert")...this thread is quite informative:

The most exhaustive studies on tobacco have been carried out by Big Tobacco themselves. RJR knows more about this reviled nightshade than most. Does anyone think that BT will truthfully share everything they know? In fact, the US government knows more about tobacco than is popularly discussed. Have any governmental agencies that are so fond of taxing the hell out of tobacco used proceeds to thoroughly study all of its effects?

Has the almost one TRILLION dollar pharmaceutical industry conducted thorough research into tobacco? I don't actually know about big pharma's involvement on the subject. Since they can't patent natural alkaloids, I can't imagine them sharing what they have learned however.

Knowing all the how's and why's of tobacco would be of great benefit to far more than tobacco users. One might think that this much hated plant mother nature has created, around which hundreds of billions of dollars flows, would be far more thoroughly researched. Perhaps the research has been done. The fruits of said research has not been popularly disseminated nor easily discoverable with a thorough web search however.

Perhaps we should demand answers to these and other questions before governments demand further taxation on "tobacco products". Elected representatives' primary reason for being is to serve their constituents not further tax our already dwindling incomes.

Does the great tobacco conspiracy of the last 30-40 years involve more than simply Big Tobacco companies?

Sorry to ask so many questions on a beautiful Sunday morning. I hope everyone can get outside and start restoring their vitamin D reserves. :)

Just FYI.... A 'development' on my (DW's) one istick 30W (similar, but not exactly the same as Lynne's and Bike's) - unable to change wattage (or voltage). When attempting to change with the +/- buttons it displays 'lock'. One can still use it at 8.5W (which is where it is stuck) - turn off, on, change to voltage mode (but not adjust), charges fine. May have happened when DW put a tractor blade pin in her pocket where it was... past any warranty period. She'll just use the eliquid where that wattage is good :) Only thing yet to try (short of opening it up) is to totally drain the batt.... but I'm not hopeful.

Hold both the up and down buttons at the same time and it will unlock.

I have something going on with one of my 30W isticks. As I've built coils I would use it to fire the newly built coils. Now, if I put a tank on it I get no atomizer messages? Did I mess it up using it to fire coils? Thanks!

ETA: I put the same tank on another istick and it's working fine so it's not the tank.

I wouldn't think so. Does any other atomizer work on it now?
You can try plugging it in to see if that resets it. Also make sure the connector hasn't gotten juice in it.
