I would just be content with an rta that didn't leak, after about 15 different leakers, I have gone back to rda's

I don't know if it was here or /r/ecr but I read that the top and bottom edges of the tank are ground a bit differently. the bottom is a more round grind and the top is a bit more flat. The supposition was that the edges need to be rough in some way so that they don't get too grippy on the silicone gaskets. The top, being flat, is less rough and seals better to deal with the vacuum. Maybe that will help you get better results with your Lemo. :)

I decided to shake things up and try an 8 wrap 28ga coil which clocked in at 1.7ohms and running it at 20 watts wicked willy style.

:O

I thought my standard 26ga .7-1.0 builds with traditional Kayfun wicking @ 30ish watts were awesome.

The flavor on this build is off the charts and it's wicking max vg like it's nothing.

My goblin is just kind of hanging out right now. I'm probably going to pick up a delta II to try out and some cheap Kayfun parts to play with my silverplay also but I get a feeling the goblin and delta (gotta at least try it, no?) are going to hit the market pretty soon and a second lemo drop is going to be ordered to go on my istick 50w when it comes in.

Man, I'm glad my goblin build burned up yesterday (Somehow, my sig got cranked up to 100 watts in the pocket of my hoody and that was the quickest, nastiest vape ever. I think my mustache got singed a little. Lol) and I was too tired to rebuild after work. Otherwise, I wouldn't have grabbed my lemo this morning, realized it needed re-wicking this afternoon, and rebuilt it after work today while I had it torn down.

Heh, I had a bit of a talk today on reddit with a guy about his favorite single coil setup. It's a 1 ohm 24g build; 11/10 wrap on a 1/8. Sheesh. Can't wait to try it lol.

Are you using the same liquid as before? A higher VG juice might be too think to wick properly at 25W. Most of my liquids are at least 50% VG, and the highest power I go without dry hits is 14.5W!

I'd be curious about builds too. I need to cover the feed holes with wick to prevent leaking when the Lemo is sideways, and I imagine this is why I have to stay under 15W.

I have used a couple different juices, though almost all of them are 70% VG or more - haven't noticed much of a wicking difference between say, my 70% VG juice and my max VG (90%+?).

Does anyone have some good pictures of what their looking likes? Such as how long they are, how they are tucked into the side once the 'cylinder' is screwed on, etc.? I just can't seem to get consistently good wicking on this, and I know when I first started I was able to vape at nearly 25-30W with this same coil without any dry hits!

Mine are like this and pic and pic in post #181

I juice the wick to get it sticky, get the wick ends to touch the deck, then I push them away from the edge and stick them to the blocks.
Then gently screw on the chamber.
TwistedLemo-3.jpg

I cut the wick in line with the outside of the base , its probably a bit longer than needed depending on how high your coil is from the air hole. Doesn't matter for me if its too long as long as it is away from the edges where the chamber will go.
After putting on the chamber you can put something thin between the wick and the chamber and gently push the wick away from the chamber to make sure its not blocking the juice channels. I usually find if the wick is wet and away from the edge it stays there.

Ok folks. I hear Lemo mentioned so much in RTA talks and it seems to be at the top of many lists of favorite RTAs.

Now I see Lemo Drop just to confuse me more. I'll do my research but what's the difference and what makes a lot (it seems) like the Drop more than the regular Lemo?

EDIT: Is size the only difference?

I prefer the Drop. I think it has slightly better flavor, but it's close enough that it's really all subjective (there are some here that prefer the big one for flavor). Also, I like the Drop because I use a tube mod and a shorter atty is more manageable for me (I take it everywhere I go, in my belt holster). I don't mind filling it 2-3 times per day.

So my Lemo Drop measured at 1 ohm yesterday when I first got it with the cotton preloaded. I rewicked today because I was getting some popping and now it reads 1.3 ohm. Does wick have that great a difference, or was it moving the coil around a bit as I pulled the old stuff out and threaded the new cotton in?

I have been having the same experience lately, my Ohms have been jumping around to the point where my P3 won't fire it every time. In my case, it turned out to be due to those darn post holes. More specifically, it was due to my inability to heed advice like "if you're gonna use the post holes, don't over-tighten the screws". I think I must have been damaging the wire and even perhaps snapping it. I have moved back to using the screws and I have not had that problem since.

My experience is that the centerpin in the bottom cap is not making a full good connection. After sanding both the center post in the build deck and the center pin in the bottom cap to remove burs etc. I added a slightly larger insulator I made myself to raise it ~0.1mm to make a full and good connection. I'm using ni200 wire with temperature protect, so I need a perfect connection.

Edit: The insulator to the right is the one I made myself. Made out of some cartboard-like insulator sheet.
