Yes I did get it. I hooked up a 900mah batt and a 650mah batt at the same time. Couldn't get a full charge on either one. It also didn't want to charge. I put it in the direct sun and it took 2 days to charge. So Ca is having very warm days so plenty of sun. So every 2 days I would be able to get a half a charge on my batts. I called dave and he had me send it back to him and will send out another one. Still waiting. No more black ones just silver which is ok for me. Now after hearing you TennDave I'm worried. $50.00 is alot of money to lose. I have a feeling this next one will work the same. What did Dave do for you if anything? I think that the battery pack inside the charger is very weak. imo
His comment was to try "fiddling with the setting." I wrote him back that I had... He also asked how it charged my batteries. I wrote him that I was waiting to see if this device worked before ordering the chargers that charge through USB...so no resolution yet. We may need to break down and spend more money on a better one than this one if we really want to charge mod batteries via sun power.

Well he's had mine back over a week ago and still not hearing anything. A few days ago he said he wanted to test it. What settings is he talking about? On off and plug in. What more is there. In nother word it a piece of junk. My money down the drain. I think your right were going to have to get something bigger. I do want something that I can use. I think it's a must to have one. I'm now looking at the solar pv's. What is Grimm green talking about.

I have no idea about Grimm. the guy from Valley and I sent emails back and forth tonight- certainly it won't charge my phone. I tried it on the usb 18350 charger (250mA x2- so total of 500mA)...it died in an a little over an hour and did not fully charge my batteries. I had to plug it into the wall socket to continue charging for another 1.5 hours then the light turned green. Yes, we need something much larger. If you find out about one, let me know. I've looked on eBay but nothing really strikes me. I think we need at least 5000mAh or we're kidding ourselves. I don't mind paying twice what I did for a good one that can do the job.

I have written but not heard back (maybe because it's the weekend), but I'm running out of time- just bought tickets for Bonnaroo where I"m going with my son (camping out basically) for 4 days starting June 6. I will have a car next to me during the evening so can charge some off the car battery (also have an inverter), but would like to get this right w/ the solar charger before I leave.
I think you're right- charge one battery at a time- wonder if I could do 2 18350's for the VV Woodvil with two of those single bay Xtars? The solar charger we have has 2 USB outs so that's nice, but maybe it can't handle two batteries at once.

If yours is anything like mine it won't charge 2 batts. Just keep trying to get ahold of him. Did you get a card with yours. It has his phone # on it. I would call him. Did you use the contact on his site to email. It took me a few times to. I will see what happens with this new one but i'm not expecting to much. I feel if it doesn't preform as we were to believe it would I will expect a refund. I should get my new on tue. well let you know what its like. Keep trying Tenn.

Right- I would go ahead and buy another, more mAh solar charger if I knew it had 2 USB outputs. Anyone know of one? After I get it, I can always deal with the first one...

The one I listed in my above post has two USB outputs. The owner said you could use two battery chargers at once.

I received another email from Valley so they are still on top of things in my opinion. That's a sign of a good vendor!!
I am awaiting my new Solar charger, an Xtar MP2 charger (18350) that charges correctly from Randy at RTDV (I have had 2 now that charges to high but he tested this one that's coming to me and it works right) as well as 2 of the single bay chargers that will do the 14500's and 18650's. I'm hoping that I can use both of the solar chargers for what I need when I'm away on my trip. If Valley's still doesn't do the job (for smaller 14500 batteries), then I'll send it back.

Well, the 6W solar charger came today- I'm pretty impressed with it- charging batteries now, trying it out.
But....be aware (I'm really disappointed about this)- it ONLY HAS ONE USB PORT!!!!
Oh well....will be charging 14500's a battery at a time....

Dave the owner said it had two! You can do a chat with him on the site. You need to find out why it has only one.

It's okay Karen- no problem...I wish I had time...just too busy right now but I will ask him about that. It could be that they had two different versions. Anyone know of a USB splitter (makes 2 USB ports out of one?) Will that work?

Okay, I just figured out that it's like a PM and he sends you back email- so I left a message. We'll see. It's not that this is impossible, it's just going to be more time consuming to charge up things, even if using this and that cheaper solar charger I already have.
