It'd be real nice to see all our locally brewed liquids get a testing similar to the FDA.

As far as I know(probably many more, but these gotta be the main ones..) Puresmoker, TotallyWicked, & JohnsonCreek.

I'd almost bet smokeeverywhere, and possibly njoy use standard cartridges from chineese suppliers. What about or local varieties? Johnsoncreek also says they're not using tobacco derived nicotine anymore. Nice to see what lab testing of their liquid would bring.

If anything I'd almost bet the DEG traces would be null in our US made varieties unless of course they use chineese derivatives and cut them.

Other than Johnson Creek I believe it all comes from China. In fact one company makes about 90% of the liquid, is what we have been told.

I know TotallyWicked suppose to be making all their liquid (in the future soon), from pharmaeceutical grade USP nicotine from the same suppliers that the NRT nicorette people get their stuff from. Plus I believe they've had lab results off their liquids as well already.

Frankly, I don't care where it's made. I personally think the FDA has a point (ducking for cover). I don't think we can expect anyone to take e-cigs seriously until the manufactures get serious about this. I know that they started as a novelty item, but that has changed. It's time that they step up to the plate. This isn't a little toy. This is something that we are all taking into our bodies. Yes, I truly believe they are better than analogs and that's why I vape, but I'd feel a whole lot better if I knew for sure there was quality control and PUBLISHED testing going on by ALL the manufactures that suppliers could point to...I'll bet the suppliers would like that too.

We're big on this Board on slamming the government. But don't you think it's time we put pressure on the manufactures of these devices too? It's really up to them to prove that pv's are safe or at least safer, not ours and certainly not the governments.

OK, flame away!

I checked them out but no where on there site do they say they are made in America?

We will find out soon enough, I just sent this email off to adam@vtvapor.com
I will post his response when I get one

I am a member at http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/ and recently discussion came up regarding US suppliers and your company was mentioned to be one then another poster noted that nowhere on your site does it mention that your liquids are manufactured in the US. I was hoping you could clear up the debate by answering a few questions about your company.

Is your liquid made here in the states?
If so does all your ingredients come from US suppliers?
If you get ingredients from outside the US what countries/companies do you get them from?
Is your liquid produced in a sterile/clean environment?
Can I get some picture of your production facility?

Thank you,
Brian

Our e-Liquid

At Vermont Vapor, all the liquid we sell is mixed entirely by us - we start with 100% pure food grade glycerine and add distilled water, nicotine ((S)-(-)-Nicotine, over 99% pure), and citric acid to balance the ph.

To this base we add only food grade flavorings - well, with the exception of our tobacco flavoring. That we make ourselves from ground tobacco leaves... and most people wouldn't want to add those to food.

See what flavors we're currently mixing up by visiting our store!"

That's what their site has to say...

You ever get a reply from them?
Yes, got reply today:

Brian,

Sorry it took me so long to respond. Since the FDA pronouncement, our
sales have jumped tenfold and we were having a hard time keeping up.
Now that we are basically sold out of liquid until a new batch of
nicotine arrives, time seems slightly more plentiful.

All liquid is produced in Vermont, USA and all of our ingredients are
from US suppliers. The liquid is produced in a sanitary/clean
environment (given the toxic nature of nicotine, the mixing is
actually done in a glove box). As we are just starting up, we are
currently sharing production space with another company. However,
given the recent increase in sales, we may soon be expanding into our
own facility so that we can meet this increased demand and we would
most likely provide photos of the new facility at that time.

Again, I apologize for the delay and hope you won't hesitate to email
any future questions.

All the best,

Adam

This seems to be happening to quite a few suppliers since the FDA garbage hit the news. Guess everyone's stocking up on US made juice!

Good to hear they are US made! We need a few more and ALL of them need to make their ingredients and production process WELL known as well as offer or arrange some testing to show their products are cleaner than the overseas juice!

I was concerned with the "sharing space with another company" portion in his email and sent him a reply. i am awaiting a response once more.

Questions:
What does this other company you share space with produce?
Is the glove box you mix in used by them?
