I have a meeting schedule with the doc in june. Very interested to find out what all my numbers are.

I was doing a little research on PG and VG and if I'm understanding it correctly VG is a carb that per tsp is about 30% more carbs than sugar. So I think I may have found my issue, I'm mixing at 30% vg and vape about 3-4 ml a day

see refrence:: Glycerol - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sometimes a .... kicking is a good thing. A kick in the shorts that was well needed.

Hope y'all had good "sugars" today as well.

Dam you just made me check my sugar level that makes 5 times today (121). You guys are making me take way to good care of myself.... keep it up:)

I don't think thats going to be a problem. I vape 75pg/25vg and it does'nt seem to effect my sugar level. I was also concerned about VG and sweetner because my level was so high. But now that I'm getting under control I see it was my eating habits, stress and lack of rest and excercise.
I guess my realization came when I accepted that I was once again falling into bad habits.

I have to watch what I eat and candy, my numbers go very high. So when I mix up my base in the future, I'm going to lower my VG from 30% to 15% and see what it does. Kinda interesting. Last night I did not eat after 8pm and did not vape much until it was time to go to bed. I check my sugar it was 110, took out the dog. Vaped about 0.6 ml and went to bed. This morning my sugar was 146 before I ate anything.

It's not unusual for your sugar levels to be highest in the morning. I was 121 last night before I went to bed and had no middle of the night snacks or anything to drink and woke up this morning with a level of 144.

Keep use posted on how your visit goes.

Woot:rickroll: My A1C was 6.0.
Fasting sugar (that they drew) was 116 :toast:

My doctor is very happy, and if I can make her happy, I'm happy :2cool:

She's still complaining that I don't eat enough daily calories and it's making me fat, but I AM trying. Up to 1 meal and 3 snacks a day.

The rest of my numbers were "usual for me" but my cholesterol was down to 209 (from 245) so she's ok with that. (I couldn't take the meds so had to stop them)

All in all not a bad visit. I see her again in 4 months, cause that A1C was only 1 month on the diabeta, the other 2 months of it was byetta, and she wants a straight test on just the pills.

Now to try to eat more...<sigh>

WTG....wish I had the eating more problem.....no..sorry. Bet that's a whole pain in itself.
I was just here bragging about my good day a few days ago....then today:(....bad, bad day.
I was 427 a bit ago. My infusion went south on me....
This isn't unusual for me. This is my life. New infusion and a good bump and I'll be good in an hour.

Sorry. This is about YOUR good news. Celebrate with a dance. A goofy dance...like nobody's watching.

I'm so sorry about your day.
I wish for you a better tomorrow.

I love to eat. I just can't eat much at one time. I fill up quick. (Kinda like I'd had one of those surgeries)
I celebrated with an hour at the barn with just the horse, hubby and me, the place was deserted, but that's not uncommon. It was heaven!

Feel better <hug>

Thanks.....it's all good. New infusion and blood sugar came right down. Today I'll probably be running low quite often. It kinda stinks but I'm use to it. Well, as use to it as one can get....lol.

I'm fighting lows on my new med. Just caught myself at 60. Feeling a bit unwell. Had a half bottle of boost about 20 minutes ago, and it's up to 72 now.

*I should probably clarify. Overeating is what got me in this mess. (I'm type 2)
I could run in the drive thru, "supersize me" and eat it ALL. And usually, also a cherry pie. :D

My old Doc put me on byetta. I don't claim to fully understand it, but I'm led to believe it kinda sorta partially paralyzes the stomach. Slows digestion and you feel full all the time. Even when not eating. I thought I had been on it a year, but looking back at insurance claims, it was more like 2 1/2 years.

I think, besides controlling my blood sugar; which it did a very good job; he was being kind and helping me lose weight. I dropped 60 pounds in that time. (I really WANT to lose 30 more)

I've only been off it a month, so I'm hopeful that I'll soon be able to eat again, but for right now, 1/2 a bottle of boost is lunch or a poached egg (no toast) or 1/2 a container of regular (not "lite" I have trouble with eating sucralose) yogurt. That's all. Supper last night was a 2 oz piece of hubby's steak and 1/4 of a baked potato.

I'm hopeful that soon I'll be back to being able to eat. At least enough to stabilize myself and try to lead "as normal as possible" life.

Watch those low's thats no good eather. It's so hard finding and keeping a balance. Over the past week I've had my highs and lows but still making progress. My swings went from 150 - 250 to 102 - 150. Exercizing has helped alot.

Way to go. I'm very happy for you. I'm still battleing but making progress.

Keep up the fight. I'm glad you're doing better.

I'm supposed to stay at this dose of diabeta for 3 months, chart my fingersticks, then see her again. Call if consistently below 70 midday.

Your new swings are lookin' good to me. Bravo. Well done!:w00t:

It's crazy isn't it?
An affliction that randomly chooses how it's going to affect each individual.
Diabetes would probably get more props from the "mainstream" if it did the same thing to everybody....but when it is such an individualistic scourge I think it loses some of its impact.
I swear to god that I just want to biatch slap the normals that tell me "well...just don't eat cookies...or cake or any food that has carbs".....it is not that simple.....
Sorry.....getting on my BETIC soapbox...lol....

If you don't have it.....you don't get it....period.
And a good example of that is.....I have it and I can't fathom what Princess deals with.....and I can't relate to what Danny deals with....etc....
Diabetes is a fickle biatch for sure....but.....if you have it...you have it. Do the best you can. Check, check, check and adapt.

They do organ transplants all the time. Is pancrease upgrade not possible?????

I want a big plate of waffles swimming in syrup......
Is that really too much to ask????

With lots of Butter!

I know.....RIGHT????

I have often told my wife that if magically I could have one 24 hour period that I could eat whatever I wanted with no ramifications.....
WAFFLES.....plate after plate swimming in syrup and butter.....{{{shudder}}} .....gotta stop. Might need a cold shower.....
