Yes, it's a Billiard in Mallee Burl (my very first epipe) :)
I have 2 black & 1 stainless:

It also helps to add some length to my extreme Gandolf:

Hey guys what can be put on the booster. Does it just have an ego thread on the end? I have the protank coming would it work with this device?
Yes it's a standard eGo connector, so just about anything would work.

tom i have a pro tank and if it is the one with the skirt to make the provari look hybrid then yes the tank will work on the booster cause i was foolong around one day and gave it a shot and it worked, but i have to tell you that it isnt the best looking, this tank is best on the pro vari, you would be better off getting a straight flush tank for the pipe, i am going for the cise finish little momma, i now run my killer in the pro tank ......

I have that pipe clearo but stopped using it due to excessive leakage. Does it work better on higher volts for some reason?
mine works fine at 4.5 any higher and i may start to get drys here and there.
but most of the time i use it on a booster when its late at night and im just relaxing and all vaped out from exhaling all day at hv with a standard mod i use my pie late at night at lv and just le the smoke and flavor just roll around in my mouth with very little inhale and exhaling.

I guess with the VV pipes coming soon these things wont be necessary.

So is Matt coming out with a VV pipe relatively soon? I found a couple of VVs but they're definitely not cheap. Maybe I'll hold off on my 2nd pipe for now. Even if it raises the pipe cost I think I like that option best.

The booster Version 2 will be out sometime over the next few months. That will give a VV option to any of our pipes.
We do not plan to make pipes that are hardwired with VV circuitry. The reason is simple. Murphy's Law.
There is too much that can go wrong with permanently installed VV hardware. Which means repairs would be costly and difficult.
We much prefer to build solid mechanical mods that can use VV extensions.

BTW if you are using an eGo Booster for the first time be sure your battery goes Positive Post Down in the bowl!
Reversing the polarity will kill the booster.

FYI the eGo Booster 2 will utilize the new Crown Tec from Artisan. The same Tec that will go into the USBaux V2.
I would like to get some opinions from the thread....

I propose for the eGo Booster 2 for pipes that we sell 3 versions (perhaps 4 or 5).
The reason is, the menu function for the crown might be a bit much for pipe users. So what I propose is a 7 watt, 8 watt, 9 watt fixed boosters and perhaps a variable wattage/voltage version for the tinkerers. When dealing with watts I have found little need to change from my preferred setting (7 watts).

Any thoughts?

So will these be in the form factor of the current boosters? What is the maximum range possible with them? They have a screen?

I thought I saw a crown that worked audibly, kinda the shape of a kick, that adjusted with button clicks and made a noise to let you know what setting you were on. No screen. That would be really cool IMO, but a typical 18490 pipe would only work with an 18350 with that inside.

I dont mind the current form factor though, but smaller is always better in my book.

Id say range is best. The widest range will please the most people. I personally could live with fixed booster but many others would take a pass. The question is how many? Im looking forward to hearing what others think they would rather have, fixed or pure variable.

Im gonna get me one of the new USbaux's though and I cant wait. I hope they are coming along well? I think it will be my first box mod :)

The booster will be the same as the current booster form factor minus the knob. We won't be installing crowns in pipes.
The menu will be audible like the crown. Only difference is, with a mechanical mod the button will need to be held down to hear the responses from the booster. The USBaux has constant power to the crown so it will not have this issue.
Baux software is still being tweaked for bugs. We should get a couple sample boards in next week if all goes well.
Then we will put the mods through some wear and see how they do. If all goes well it will be around a month or two for release.

No public beta testing :) I know I would be more than happy to put up full cost of the Baux to give it a test ride, so long any revisions, if there are any, will get updated. Ill give that thing a heck of a workout hehe. Im sure you have enough staff and friends to work out the kinks on your own but I had to take a shot ;)

Come to think of it, I was on a beta tester list a long time ago for something you were making. Cant remember what you were calling it. I know it was a pipe. Did that ever get released? What was it? Do I already own one and dont even know it lol.

That was the pGo, it never made it in to production. It was a cool idea but too complicated to build.

We will only have 2 USBaux's to test so no room for beta testers. This will be revision 3 of the betas so I think we will have ironed out the kinks.
