Count me as interested in a custom brass tank run, too. Would it be possible to integrate a cone into the bottom cap? Heck, maybe even a bit of one on the top, to smooth the transition to the stem and maybe hide some of a universal...

AGREED 100%. Even a separate but matching brass cone would work.

Any 18500 pipes in this batch? 18500 that aren't corn cob or cigar that is?

Oh, and fedex tracking said they got my pipe back to you today... hope you can get time to fix her up soon. I miss her dearly!

Edit: Nevermind, if I'm correct the Gandalf are all 18500? and I see the previous posts already say there are some in this batch...

Cross your fingers folks,
tomorrow night the website will go down for a few hours. during that time our web store will be updated to a newer software version. We will also be moving the site to a new server that is OURS. Which hopefully will mean super fast response time from the website even on high traffic days like friday after pipes post. So let me know if you guys see an improvement with the lag situation this friday.

Gandalf's are rarely 18500's. Dragons are always 18500's. If i have time to finish some dragons there may be a few on the site Friday. If not it will be next week.
Your repair should ship out Tuesday. Monday has been designated repair day.

Almost all Gandalfs are 18350. There is no one else getting pipes for me, I'm kinda like an island out here. Aside from my friends on here, I'm the only person out in this desolate place that vapes a pipe.

It's time to get another pipe, because the damn connector on my Gandalf just came loose. So Matt, my pipe will be headed your way soon. And Shawn I'll send out those Pene coils too.

Hey Matt,

(edit: partially answered already on this and following page)

Question: speaking of boosters and VapeSafes ... I buzzed Cheryl @ VapeSafe and she said to buzz you :) This is about DIY stuff not yours (since yours already have the VapeSafe on it). Is there any problem using a Kick on one of your larger pipes (reducing the battery size)? I believe the Kick goes on positive and the VapeSafe on negative so at that level they'd be compatible. However I am unsure if that configuration would cause any electrical issues.

And for the reverse, is there any good reason to put a VapeSafe on negative AND Kick on positive? In the case that I know I'm going to have a Kick on a device should I just skip the VapeSafe or do their short protections function differently? The VapeSafe is cheap enough that it isn't cost prohibitive ... but saving a little $ and a little space could be useful for some space conscious mods.

I don't have one yet (hah, all of my non-disposables are ePipeMods) but am considering grabbing a mechanical mod with plain atomizer/drip tip for juice sampling and would still want to deck it out and make sure it is protected. I still want the booster for my smaller pipe but am considering lengthening the battery chamber to fit an 18650 on my CIY (instead using an 18500+Kick).

Heck, even though the instructions say Kick on positive and VapeSafe on negative (I think), can you stack the VapeSafe between the Kick and the battery to give the Kick a little extra protection (or would I stack the other direction, battery->kick->vapesafe) or would that not work?

Hmm, I'm seeing a problem in general with this ... the Kick needing to contact ground and I don't think it has a magnet, so it would probably interfere with pipe button operation.

The VapeSafe HAS to go on the POSITIVE, or you can still get a hard short and the VapeSafe will be absolutely useless.

The batteries are supposed to be put into Matt's pipes positive side down. He posted about this issue in a past post.

Interesting, bad info on thevapsafe.com?

"The VapeSafe2 attaches magnetically on the negative terminal of the battery and trips when the current drawn out of (or in to) the battery exceeds a certain amount."

(from VapeSafe 2 Info )

Those are mods that complete the circuit with the body of the mod, the pipes have straight wiring for both positive and negative. The VapeSafe on the negative may be fine for other mods, but with EPM pipes they should be the positive connection. As far as the Kick is concerned, I have no idea.
