The "clone wars" are still going on? This is getting ridiculous! Lol
I have only one positive thing to say about the clones. I personally started with an eGo kit and a Vivi Nova copy. When I realized I'm going to stay a vaper for quite some time, I waited to accumulate enough funds and went for the real deal. If I hadn't had the cheap clones to use until I got enough money, I would've started smoking again. Copies are a good stepping stone. A gateway vape gear, if you will
The moment I got my first genuine piece of gear I never bought another clone. Resellers are keeping the clone industry alive. That and the consumerist mentality of "now, now, now; gimme, gimme, gimme".
I got the Tatroe Tank ordered. Its actually gonna be here Monday if all goes as planned with the PO. Thanks to everyone who posted that. I kinda dig my evod. Problem is I dont have a protank yet lol. They were out of stock to add the base and heads on the site which is kinda a bummer. Cant wait for that thing, looks cool. Even got a BDS60 to put on it. I guess now I need a new pipe![]()
I also hate that Matt's and some others original designs were copied like that. Shame. Just come up with your own way to make your pipe or mod work. Its just pathetic really.
Speaking of pathetic, there is a pipe maker out there that outright solicited me only to bash Matt and epipemods after I posted a pipe pic on Facebook. He went on and on. This one comment in particular was priceless. One of his biggest gripes with Matt was that he cares too much about safety. LOL. He really said those exact words lol. Holy crap, really dude, was went through my mind. He said he spends full days gutting Matts pipes for people so that he can put them back together to make them work property. Basically he takes the vapesafe out so people can do super low ohm coils without the voltage loss EPM pipes have from the circuitry. Ya know what, I whole heartedly appreciate that someone has my safety in mind. Sad thing is I wanted one of this guys pipes and planned to get one but that went right out the window forever. Scumbag!
Trying to look at the bright side of things.
Matt, I've been looking at the Peterson stems to go with the fire in the sky acrylic. I know that colors can be deceiving through the interweb and was wanting your opinion what color goes best with it. So far my choice would be to go with the tortoise shell but like I said sometimes its hard to trust pictures. Thanks
I'm curious about what others have experienced at their local B&Ms. I started vaping in 09 on the joye 510 (I believe it was the precursor to the ego) and the internet was the only place I could buy any of the gear required. Due to the inherent nature of online shopping I naturally found myself relying on other customers, who were considerate enough to post videos and reviews, to inform me of what to buy and how to use it. End of prologue
There are 3 shops here in San Diego and they're all branches of the same company. I don't know if it's appropriate to name the company but I'm sure a "something" search would reveal it. It's natural to be vexed sometimes by the postal service so I started to go to the shop in town for new atomizers and such. I've never been to a B&M other than the ones run by this company but I'm sure the variety of clientele are of the same elements and some of those are people who need all the information that people like me already got online.
It boils down to this. The storefront is different things to different people, even the owner and his employees and because of this it's my least favorite place in the city. I can imagine how difficult it would be to manage a place like that and I'm wondering if any of the stores you guys go to actually do it well. This place definitely doesn't lack for customers and profit but the place is a madhouse. After maybe a dozen or so visits when I was in a "buy a 306 and a bottle of juice then rinse and repeat" phase I've since resigned myself to ordering online only. I'm just wondering, does it have to be like this? Are they all the same due to the inherent vice of the business?

Well stated abs, and surprise, surprise EPM will have a lounge![]()
The danger is clear, the liability is clear, do what you will.
