I'm afraid that wrapping any wick around the ground side is going to choke the wick.....At least that's my thinking....lol

Be careful guys in torching your wick and coil while installed in the ERA. You might melt the O-rings and the insulator in the positive post.
IMHO the insulator in the positive pole is the Achilles heel of this wonderful atomizer. Thats just based on my experience.

I just got in on the CoOp last minute! so I am confused... does anyone know when these will ship out? I read on the CoOp thread that it would be like Sept 8, that seems way too fast, would they not have to ship from the phillipines and then be distributed to the individuals? that seems like it would take a while.

The last estimate I saw was 4 weeks after the order is complete and $ is sent.

The group buy I was in they shipped out of Manila on the 14th, made it to the group buy organizer on the 17th. I had mine by the 20th or 21st. DHL is the shipping company they use and they are pretty darn fast. I ordered a bulk buy out of China once on a Saturday. They shipped it by DHL and it was on my doorstep on Wednesday. We did run into a big hassle with the wire transfer though that delayed everything a few weeks. The bank effed up the transfer and took a jaw droppingly stunning amount of time to rectify the mistake. Not sure how long it will take Mel to build the ERAs though.

Well maybe turn around time has decreased. Often in manufacturing businesses one must wait for money to come in before they hire some help, buy more/better equipment that will speed up the process 10 fold.

Got back from sailing and noticed I'm about out of wick- though I still have a bit more wire. I just ordered from ebay (wire) and wick from silicawicks.com Wayne said he'll start a new post in the Reo subforum about wire and wick. I think it's a great idea considering that so many Reo owners are getting into rebuildables now.
Lovin my ERA on my VVW but I did have to bore out my air hole to 3/64 the draw was just way to tight for me
Yes you can fit it but you have to adjust the contact point of the ERA to the point it protudes which significantly increases the chances of a short.
