interesting. as my ERA comes from the italian buy group, it has two air holes on both caps (the plain and the colored one). drawing resistance is one thing (i prefer 'easy draw'), and this may depend on how long the ends of silica are you leave there. but when i look at the vaper a good coil produces in the ERA, i guess can use a bit more air ...

btw nice too: ERA works with the NPS Lukkos :)

If someone wanted to use a phillips screwdriver instead of a hex key, we could use #90116A008, right? The description states: "Metric 316 SS Pan Head Phillips Machine Screw M2 Size, 4mm Length, .4mm Pitch"

I ordered some of the cheese-head slotted screws in that size, since my Chalice also has slotted screws. Looks like both the screws and the ERA's should arrive in a few days, so I'll find out how well they work.

I learned something new today....and I'd love to hear if what I'm seeing is true. I used to think that it was very important that the coils did not touch each other, I'm finding this is not the case. I like higher ohm wraps to use on my VV Reo. It's pretty hard to make lots of wraps and keep the separated. I tried this today.

I wrapped it loosely but didn't really try to separate the wraps.

It keeps the coil centered of the posts when putting it in the ERA....the main coil does not hit the pos or neg posts.

This make any sense?

That's double 3mm wick and 7 wraps of 34 NiChrome which gave me 3.0 ohms. With The VV Reo maxed out it kicks ....

well i got my .9 mm hex keys and set screws in from mcmastercarr. ordered on sunday and arrived tues morning mail. the .9 mm is the right hex key and the set screws are a perfect match.
they are m2 or 2 mm and .4 thread pitch 4 mm length exact match even the lenght. i ordered 10 hex keys and 25 set screws in SS for a total of just under 9$ shipped to my door.
now i just need some o rings and i'm set for a long time

i ordered the cup point ones92015A091 my thinking was the flat point ones would have a better chance of pinching off the wire with the flat surface. i also ordered the xtra long hex keys that are 2 13/16 inch
makes them easier to handle with the xtra long and only .31cents each

If you short two colis then electronic theory says you just lowered the resistance but in practice since the coils are still attached to the shorted length perhaps it makes much less of a difference. If you were to attach a meter to both ends of the coil with no loops touching and then duplicate the short by touching the two coils together, you should see a difference in the meter reading. I haven't done it so I'm not completely sure. Very interesting though as I always wondered how Ciscos attys seemed to work so well with so little gap between lots of coils. Brew

For any interested in another ERA group buy, I've spoken to the owner of the Indy Vapor Shop and he may have interest in hosting one. However since there been numerous posts on Facebook in different threads, I posted on FB that anyone interested should post into the Indy Vapor Shop Thread here The Indy Vapor Shop
It may not work out but I'm trying to show him some interest. He already has a number of the issues resolved concerning international purchasing, payment interface and domestic shipping handled. Go ping the IVS thread if you have any interest. Brew

brew...thanks for the heads-up! I went there and asked for 2 bottom feeder ERA's. I've been wanting to try these ever since so many
much smarter folks like them so much.

( now i just need someone to show me how to put these things together, if I get any:facepalm:)

I could be attractive, funny, lovable...smart i ain't!
