Ok. Done waiting....
$5 with USA warehouse shipping...basically free ha! :D
EK Style Rebuildable Tank Atomizer (8ml) White

Thanks for the links, info etc. that led me to getting an ErlK clone!
Now to get the nano kit and kayfun glass from FT.

That's the one I got....that I've re-boxed.....and am waiting to give to someone I dislike.

I'd offer it to you, but don't have good reason not to like you yet.

Perhaps you could make some disparaging remarks towards me or tell me my coils are ugly? ;)

*You look marvelous!* oops. wrong style ha.
Was it the erlk in general, or this particular model - what didn't you like?
Others here and elsewhere have glowing praise for this model.

Have you got any good tips or links for builds It seems a shame not to vape it after having it a year!:)

You can see my build here. I have changed to spaced coils over compressed ones, and I think the spaced coil works better. I'm using the big slot cup. My coil is 6 wraps of 28g on a 5/64" bit, but I put it on a 1/16" bit then to get it set in the cup because the 5/64" bit won't fit in the slots. You want the wick on the side with the juice slot up against, and even a bit in that slot. And fluffy enough to fill the deck. On the back wick, I cut a longer piece of tail that I bring around the post to the front because once I had that part not wicking well.

Still trying to get the erlprinz and now the squape reloaded to work with my dna40 hahaha. I thought the hard part would be actually building my dna 40 box mod haha
You might need an extra spacer on the erlprinz (beneath the positive center screw) to make full solid contact with 510 connector :)

Erlk vapemail! A day early even!

Got the Angelcigs white Erlk clone.
$5 clearance price plus $4.50 shipping. (sold out)
3 days shipping.
Came with a little bag of spares/goodies:

349baec.jpg

Gave it a good washing, light machine oil and a few speckels in the bowl.
Threading smooth. 2 tiny nick spots. Removed AFC ring.
Then proceeded with first build.
Thanks to all the others sharing, build was no problem - small wicking in channels.
28g, 2.4mm, 10 wraps, 1.8 ohms, JOC

Starting vaping. No gurgles, no dry hits, good vapor....
Gag!
What is that taste?!? Like dirty shoe!
Vaped maybe 1ml.
Maybe I didn't clean it well enough? Maybe the hard to reach chimney inside?
Took it apart, fully this time.
Hot water and Dawn. Soaked it, scrubbed it, spotless.
Rebuilt as above.

Dirty shoe!!
Vaped another ml. Cranked up the wattage. Puffed like crazy. Wicking great. Good vapor.
Hmmm. Maybe now just 1/2 a dirty shoe!
Seems to be getting better....

I maybe see now why Phil B in his review said basically 'Maybe it's like a Wok - needs to be seasoned'
We'll see.

I love the size and super-love the weight - it's why I got it.
In contrast to my beloved Kayfun V4 Tebeco - super-tasty-best-ever but heavy. (105 grams vs. like 40 grams)
But my Kayfun was supreme flavor after like 3 puffs.
The Erlk has improved after 3ml.... hope it will get there.....!
Thinking another 3ml it might. Crazy.

I currently run my ErlKs without the wick ring. Quite honestly, I think they perform better without them...

I like that it doesn't have the ring. Kept reading posts about bubbles getting stuck under there. I like watching the bubble squeeze out and float up in the Prinz. :D

My wick ring was tough to get on - a whisker small. Now that it's on, don't know it will come back off - ha!
I did notice one of those trapped bubbles early on. Shake-a-bake time.
It does seem to provide the 'base' or 'end-point' for the bottom of the chimney though.
The idea it's to hold silica wicks in place seems decent enough.
But it is claimed to be part of the juice feed system.
I'll keep mine on for now.

I'm guessing you didn't get all the machine oil out. My Yiloong one was pretty dirty.

Yea, makes sense I guess. I suppose I've never tasted machine oil, especially like that!
I figured as well as I cleaned it that wouldn't be it. Some of the small tube sections are difficult to get into though.
5 ml or so vaped now. Much, much better. So suppose machine oil it is.
Thanks roxy!

Did 2nd refill. No leaks or gurgles etc. - worked as advertised. Nice!!
The first try, I left the top open for awhile - like 5 min, and it flooded.
And pulled off the base/deck a few times with juice in the tank by just unscrewing the base.
Takes a firm grip, and a towel helps protect from the jaggy air curfs. And no leaks/gurgles with that either!
So I'm pleased that access to the deck is easier than I originally supposed and is possible as jaxgator mentioned.

I've never used mine.

I used initially but noted that the wick rings trapped and held air bubbles moving to the tank from the chimney (i.e. from the pressure equalization as eliquid level drops). This occasionally caused problems with so-so wicking under moderate to heavy vaping.

Now I don't use at all -- and run no wick down the channels -- and don't see these problems. I wick with CC rayon which seems to have a very strong capillary action after its wetted.
