I was excited to receive my new eroll today, along with 3 100% vg sample juices. Smelling the juices from the bottle, the mango smelled medicinal. The cola and caramel smelled delicious. So I filled the eroll cartridge with the cola, and it was nasty, metallic tasting. I put a little of the cola juice in my ego t, and it tasted great, so doesn't seem to be a problem with the juice. I tried a different atomizer in the eroll, and no difference. Any ideas to try and make this eroll vapable?

Yes - it's really important to 'prime' the atomizer on the eRoll by dropping 4-6 drops of e-liquid on there.

Unlike a manual PV (which you can just drag on without hitting the button to get liquid into the wicks) the eRoll will just *burn* on your first puff if you haven't soaked the wick.

The burnt taste will go (eventually) but it's better to avoid that if possible :)

I've been dripping on eGo-C atomizers for 8 months before I got the eRoll. I quickly learned that the best way to prime these atomizers is to flood them before first use. I take the atomizer head and set it on a plate. Then I pour juice onto it until it is sitting in a puddle. I let it sit for about 5 minutes and then I wipe it dry. I've never yet to get a dry hit since I started doing this.

So it definitely sounds like a dry atty to me as well.

Also, out of about a dozen atomizers, I've never had a bad one from JoyeTech. I have had some horrible SmokTech atomizers, so I make sure to only buy Joye. It's a small sample size, but it's all I have.

Good luck.

Absolutely ! I put my juices in a needle-tip bottle anyway, so I use that to drip juice into the spike of a new atomizer, or one that I've just cleaned ...

They will usually take 20 to 25 tiny drops from the needle tip and soak them right up. After about 25, it starts to overflow ...

I've also learned (the hard way) to remove an atomizer at the first sign of burnt taste, it doesn't get better with use. In every case I found the wick clogged, but an alcohol soak took care of that ... :D

You don't say so just askin as its a factor. What's the voltage difference with your Ego T? Voltage affects flavorings more than any other factor. And, of course, the atty resistance affects that. The Eroll is 3.7. My Ego C (comparable to T) is 3.3/4 in its regulated state. Some juice taste better at 3.3 with a LR atty and others at 3.7 with a SR atty. If you can, test your cola juice at different voltages/resistances. Some won't be good in anything that's 3.7 volts regardless of resistance. Example: Dekang juices taste fine in the Eroll but in every clearo I've tried at 3.7 volts the base tastes of burnt celery... yuck... so I use those in the Eroll.

Lol! I'm vaping Dekang's RY4 right now in my PT2 at 4.4 volts/8.5 watts and you've got me wondering if my sense of taste hasn't come back yet :D

Nah, I was shocked when I put it the my first clearo. I had been vaping it for months in my Eroll. So, I went on youtube and checked out threads here too. It seems some taste that bad celery taste and some don't. I'm one of the unlucky ones. :) People get real creative trying to describe the taste... I settled on burnt celery because I have, in fact, burnt it cooking. One of those "taste is subjective" things. But those who DO taste it are turned off Dekang forever on. There's no convincing them to try different setups like the Eroll even to use up their Dekang. I mean it RRRReally tastes bad. Go figure.

Slightly OT but have you guys ever used Joyetech's liquids? They are really, really good and work perfectly with an eRoll (Go figure lol). I love the Tobacco "Tob". 16mg is the highest but it feels and taste great. They use pure Vanilla extract and it's a PG/VG blend. I would think 70/30.

30 ml
Joyetech E-Liquid 30mil ( PG+VG )

10 ml
Joyetech E Liquids | E Cig Liquids | Electronic Cigarette Liquids | Joye E Liquid
Yes, I have too. I've tried strawberry and coffee. Both absolutely and very surprisingly awesome! The strawberry is the most delicious I have ever tried!

I soaked the original atomizer for about 7 mins in a 70/30 vanilla juice (70% vg), and gave it a few hits. That did help, metal taste is diminishing. Kinda tastes like vanilla coke out of can. LOL. My eGo T is 3.3v. When cleaning atomizers, should I use Isopropyl alcohol only?
I generally use Everclear, or vodka. Something safe for ingestion.
