Imeo, I took the Eterigon completely apart to do a good cleaning. When I put back together, I might have reversed the poles the button touches inside. If my memory serves me right...I think if the poles are reversed than the button has to be pushed down hard for a connection to be made, which is the way I have it now. And if the poles are switched than the button barely has to be pushed to make contact.

If you could please verify this to me before I take Esterigon apart and switch the poles. That would be great.

sure Sad:)

The steady pole has a short moving pin. The short moving pin touches the battery and the pole is waiting for the button to be touched.

The moving pole is waiting for the button to be touched. Its other end touches the atomizer.

Dont forget to put plastics in place!

Ha Imeo. You Jokester. You knew the poles couldn't be switched. That's why you threw in the happy face.

I think you wanted me to find out for myself. I don't have much experience taking apart Esterigon. Even though I watched Bishops video on it. I think Imeo wanted me to learn for myself.

I think one of my O-rings was a bit out of place when I put it back together. I have gain more Esterigon wisdom and figured out how to do small adjustments for how far the button can pressed to make contact.

Esterigon is so simple, that it's hard not to make it seem harder than it really is.

ahahaha, that was nice Sad.

In fact I always give directions even if they are not needed in case someone cant really figure out how to do a thing.:)

Imeo, I am truly loving my Esterigon. Thank you so much for making and providing it! Brilliant design elements in it.

A couple of requests/suggestions, positive criticisms, not complaints:

1. This is a high end product and should be ready for use straight out of the box. Please ask your vendors to assemble it as such.
The pin cases should be tightened as you show in your videos. The customer should not ever have to tighten them right off the start. The o-rings should be lubricated. A dry o-ring is a bad o-ring waiting to be damaged. Parts secured by un-lubricated o-rings do not disassemble as they should.

2. You suggest using Vaseline to lubricate the o-rings. I was taught that Vaseline (a petroleum product) will cause the o-rings to break down quickly. Use a food-grade silicon grease for o-ring lubricant. Just enough to make the o-ring shine; never a dirt catching glob anywhere. (This comes from life-support and scuba equipment repair. Of course, a PV is not as critical, and I guess a little Vaseline won't hurt if that's what you've got.)

3. Please be sure that your vendors always have more than enough spare parts, including the proper o-rings.
Earlier in this thread I saw a couple of people had failed button insulators, broken o-rings, and lost springs. If a couple mentioned it in this thread you can be sure that there were five or ten times as many with the same issue. Sure enough, very soon after I received my beauty I caused a hard short and melted the button insulator, one of the pin insulators, and the button o-ring. Oooppss. My fault. But all of the vendors are out-of-stock on one or more of the replacement parts I need, and I don't want to have to buy 50 or 100 2x1 o-rings for the one plus a spare that I need. I was able to get the critical custom pin insulators from Rob, but have had to glue the button pin into the melted button insulator while I wait for Rob to get spare parts in-stock. Again, my fault, but... anybody got an extra button insulator, maybe a button spring, and button o-ring that they can spare?

This Esterigon is a wonderful work of engineering art and a most comfortable PV to use. Again, thank you Imeo!

BTW, I have not been in contact with Rob at FluidVaper.com, but my orders from him have shipped quickly and correctly. :thumb:

...
But I think GG sellers have stock of the parts you mention:)

I sent an email to gg@fluidvaper & rob@fluidvaper to double check that, imeo. Website says out-of stock on the insulator and spring, and doesn't list o-rings at all.

Thanks, buddy.

I finally did it guys! I just ordered an Esterigon, 18650 matte tube, Tilemahos and the Esterigon-Tilemahos adapter base. So excited! I really wish I could get the matte body for Tilemahos but I will just keep my eye open for when they go back in stock.
I figured what the hell, I had a little extra cash... might consider selling one of my old GG babies but... I probably won't ;)

What is this about Tilemahos v2 coming out? Are there going to be huge upgrades to that?

Either way.. I am way too excited for 7:30 in the morning :p

My current JustGG and Ithaka v2 combo is going to be extremely jealous.

Can't wait! Thank you Imeo!

P.S. I've been out of the loop so if there are any things I need to know or any nice tricks for these items feel free to let me know. I will be going back and reading the forums when I'm at work later if I get some time! Saw something about SS pins? Anything else I should have gotten? I just jumped the gun on the order, especially because Tilemahos was on sale (not sure how long that's been going!) and I didn't want the price to go back up.

Thanks guys!
Don't tell my girlfriend I just spent $400 ;)

Congratulations for your purchase sub.:)
Tilemahos doesnt really change. New batch will be compatible with previous batch. The chnages are: AD center post and ability to empty the collector tank without disassembling the device.
The compatibility is almost full. But some pieces require a second piece to work. What I mean:

Base is new so it requires the new AD ring too
The body also requires the cap to work.

The first difference was made to give the ability to users to change o-ring so they can make the turn of the ring easier ir tighter
The second difference was made because mouthpiece is fatter so I had to open more the neck of the tube for easy reffiling

my lips are sealed sub:laugh:
The only trick for hybrid base of Tilemahos is that you first screw Tilemahos base on Esterigon, then screw the rebuildable part until it stops. Then assemble the rest of Tilemahos.
Its one time alignment only:)
