penelope short is 40mm monk. Tilemahos is 36mm and if you dont add the thin refilling cap (that seems like a piece of the mouthpiece), its 30mm. It looks very short really
For me to visualize, how is the length compared to Penelope (normal and short modes)?

so that is what i call even !!!

don´t say i can get older atty´s, because i want to take part in gg inovation as well while using res-non-res wire and ceramic !!!
i tried the non ceramic and res wire Ithaka and Penelope v3, but it was not me !!!

So I bought a few 18490 AWs today but unfortunately they're flat top and not button top. The battery is rattling very much in there. Any solutions?

AW's? As far as I know, AW doesn't have flat tops. Sorry that's not a solution to your problem, someone else will be able to help you with that.
I'm sure you wouldn't want to pay shipping on something like this, but these work if you can find them on your side of the pond
