Sometimes I feel like I'm just not getting the "hit" I used to get when I used to smoke (3 month's smoke free, 12 mo. 75% smoke free). I had one of those feelings just now....kinda makes you wanna buy a pack of smokes...but then I remember when I used to smoke, and even smokes wouldn't seem to give me the hit I needed either......so I just turn up the voltage a tad...take a couple looooong tokes, and everything is good again!! Just wonder if any of you all sometimes feel the same, and what you do?

Mech mod with a sub ohm build always does the trick for me.

Explain to me how this better/what it does? I read all the posts on mods, etc., but I haven't really read where someone has explained how much better a mod is versus the vv Ego that I use. I mean, does the vape/throat hit blow and eGO vv away? just curious -- and also, what sorta tank. I have noted a lot of differences in the tank, but where does the big battery, ohms, come into play and how?

Short answer........... You can do THIS with a mech mod and dripping...

Now, tell me that won't satisfy you....

Now for the long explaination...

Mech mods are unregulated, which means you can build coils that push the power drain way past what would be possible on an eGo or most any other VV mod. Most VV mods are limited to a 1-1.3 ohm coil as the smallest resistance, but you can run down to .2 ohms with a mech mod.

An Innokin iTaste MVP 2.0 has a maximum wattage of 12 watts. A .2 ohm coil with a fresh charged battery at 4.2 volt will be pushing over 88 watts of power through the coil. That means HUGE clouds, tremendous flavor, and a nic rush that may send you to the bathroom to puke if your nic levels are too high.

Cigarettes gave me a strong throat hit because I took deep, fast drags. Vaping can be that way as stated above, but, vaping is more. More options, more variables. To me, cigarettes were boring.

If you are not getting your "fix", I would buy a bottle with a higher nic and test it out.

Oh yeah, there are those times. I was a heavy 40 year smoker and, even after 19 months, I still have those cravings at times. I either vape my head off, or get a stronger flavor with higher nic for awhile. I figure it will always be a struggle, but I'm armed and dangerous now.

Thanks - 38 years here. While I plan at some point to cut the vaping down, maybe eventually quite, I am not going to push it at all. I plan on trying to cut the nic content in half, but not for at a minimum 6 months. I don't care if it takes me two or three years to wean myself - i am not about to push it, cause I have too much and too long of an addiction. It's worse than ...... additiction...and I believe it!

I honestly don't know what i feel right now. I don't ever crave nicotine... well, I never get that on-edge, gotta have a cigarette/vape feel. The only time I'm not vaping, is when I'm eating... or damn near.

I can't imagine smoking a cigarette now. Not that I think they're nasty or anything (I loved smoking), but because I know I won't get the satisfaction from it... like I said, I'm always vaping, so I've always got my fill of nicotine.

I've thought about imposing limits on my vaping, to allow my nicotine level to come down, to get to that withdrawal state... then vape a big fat one & see if I can get that nicotine high. But I don't like imposing limits on myself.

either this site (or my brower) isn't allowing me to edit my posts, but was saying I have heard nic addiction is harder to kick than ...... addiction. I believe it. I have higher nic liquid in the house, and my wife has a half pack of 4 month old L&M's sitting the pantry. Thank God, I really have no desire for the cigs, at least not those stale L&Ms, and I am ok with nic level (18). I think it's the old habit of the flame and actual smoke that sometimes tempts me, but so far, so good. Maybe I will elevate to a mod at some point, if I need to. I would certainly look into that before I would ever smoke another cig.

The longer I vape, the less it seems related to smoking; it's just enjoyable. Haven't really had a craving for a while now, but when I do occasionally wish I could have a cigarette, I go to my V2's, believe it or not! They didn't get me off smoking, but now they actually do taste & feel more like a cigarette (or as I remember a cigarette anyway). More of a tobacco/smoke taste to them than my ejuices, and the slender, light feel of a cigarette.

I'm 6 1/2 months from my last cigarette now, thankfully!! At least 90% of the time, I'm using 0 nic ejuice. I guess for me it wasn't the nicotine so much as the other chemicals and the behavioral aspects, etc....but I smoked for 47 years and I loved my cigarettes! :(
