The longer I vape, the less it seems related to smoking; it's just enjoyable. Haven't really had a craving for a while now, but when I do occasionally wish I could have a cigarette, I go to my V2's, believe it or not! They didn't get me off smoking, but now they actually do taste & feel more like a cigarette (or as I remember a cigarette anyway). More of a tobacco/smoke taste to them than my ejuices, and the slender, light feel of a cigarette.

I'm 6 1/2 months from my last cigarette now, thankfully!! At least 90% of the time, I'm using 0 nic ejuice. I guess for me it wasn't the nicotine so much as the other chemicals and the behavioral aspects, etc....but I smoked for 47 years and I loved my cigarettes! :(

Funny- I first "quit" using V2's - I also needed the cig-a-like. I got burnt out cause I used the manual V2's and would blow through a battery in two hours, and was spending almost as much in cartos as cigs. Next went to ego vv twist and evod/T3/etc tanks. That's where I am still. I can't stand the V2 tobacco flav now. I presently use a local blend of Vanilla Custard mixed with a Coffee...really satisfying taste

Short answer........... You can do THIS with a mech mod and dripping...

Now, tell me that won't satisfy you....

Now for the long explaination...

Mech mods are unregulated, which means you can build coils that push the power drain way past what would be possible on an eGo or most any other VV mod. Most VV mods are limited to a 1-1.3 ohm coil as the smallest resistance, but you can run down to .2 ohms with a mech mod.

An Innokin iTaste MVP 2.0 has a maximum wattage of 12 watts. A .2 ohm coil with a fresh charged battery at 4.2 volt will be pushing over 88 watts of power through the coil. That means HUGE clouds, tremendous flavor, and a nic rush that may send you to the bathroom to puke if your nic levels are too high.

Honestly you don't even need to sub ohm, but that's what I do. Any rda/rba is going to produce better flavor and vapor Imo than any tank setup. Yes it does take a little bit of work but in the end it is well worth it

That's what I meant to say.

I'm sure the act of smoking was a big deal for me. Holding the cigarette in my hand, putting it in my mouth, taking a drag, blowing smoke rings... Vaping with sweet ejuices makes it a lot more enjoyable.

While blowing vapor like a dragon seems fun...it seems a little excessive to me. Do we really need that much vapor and nicotine to relax? That's like mainlining nicotine for christ sakes. Also, does that method burn through a ton of juice? Do you get more dehydrated when vaping like that?

In my experience those that are cloud chasing to that extent are using very low to zero nic juices and 100% VG. It's not about the flavor or getting a "nic fix". It's simply about generating a bigger cloud than the guy next to you.

I took a .9 ohm 26g single coil setup Omega on my Seven-22 to a local vape shop with me - buddy wanted some Slurricane... Granted that my setup at 22w does qualify as a fog machine, but I've seen bigger clouds from mechanicals. Dude behind the counter wanted to try it and took a huge hit. After he stopped gagging and coughing he asked how much nic was in my juice. I use 24; probably should have warned him. lol. Anyhow, all the folks hanging out in there were shocked I was vaping such a high nic content. I have stepped down to 18 recently, however.

I just got my brother off of smoking, he cheated behind my back and I told him keep with vaping. If you do not get what you are looking for as far as production of cloud, nic, or throat hit than it sounds like you need to take it up a notch and get one of those three elements until you are happy. If you are a RDA user than the sky is the limit. FIGHT THOSE URGES!!!

I really think a lot of it comes down to airflow. If I'm not doing lung hits then I'm not getting the hit I want. I don't have to go subohm to do that either. You can use a run of the mill VV device as long as you set up your topper the right way. Try building a trident and open it up. Even with a 2ohm coil you can get clouds as long as you use enough volts and have the right airflow.

I tend towards mechanicals most of the time though because I'm happy vaping at around 1.5 ohms or so a little lower starting out. But if I don't have the airflow I'm looking for it's not the hit I want at all.

Sometimes I feel like I'm just not getting the "hit" I used to get when I used to smoke (3 month's smoke free, 12 mo. 75% smoke free). I had one of those feelings just now....kinda makes you wanna buy a pack of smokes...but then I remember when I used to smoke, and even smokes wouldn't seem to give me the hit I needed either......so I just turn up the voltage a tad...take a couple looooong tokes, and everything is good again!! Just wonder if any of you all sometimes feel the same, and what you do?

Sometimes the nasty tast of a cigar is what I need. But I find that to be a more rare feeling as I move forward.

i'm having trouble too. been vaping for about 3 months. i'm down to about 3-4 analogs a day. i'm gonna try kicking up the nic level when at work. as that is the only time i smoke. and try teling coworkers to quit bumming them to me. lol

What nic level are you on now?

The thing that got me over the hump, was learning how to inhale. The more I used my nose, my nicotine cravings went away. I also got into nicotine overload quicker too using the same nic level.

i'm at 12 mg.... it's just barely cutting it. on a stress day.... I need more.........
but.......
when I use cotton, it feels like too much...... so much more taste and nic get through that cotton.........
g

There were times that one cigarette didn't do it for me either. I'd smoke another.

I wouldn't think about buying a stronger cigarette.

I'm just thiking out loud here

In your situation, when you say you need more, are you saying you need stronger ejuice, or more ejuice? I would think you mean more eJuice. If you were smoking a cigarette in 5 minutes, an 8 minute vaping session should do about the same. If I smoked two cigarettes, that 5 minutes would turn inot 10 minutes, so your vape break should probably turn into 16 minutes.

But we don't think about it that way, do we? For all it's similarities, vaping is totally different from smoking.

All these comments are spot on!

I didn't have my "eureka" moment until I got a high-end Mech and RDA running dual 26 gauge microcoil/cotton around .35 ohm.

I then graduated from searching, to refining my ideal setups on the KFL+ and Atomic. Can't wait to try some twisted builds when my new Zenith V2 arrives...

Also, if you like a dense hit of vapor, give high VG liquids a try.
