Your priorities change immediately. Wasn't sure where to post this.
Sunday before last I woke up and made a quick trip to the bathroom and threw up.
It looked like I poured a can of tomato soup in the toilet. I waited maybe an
hour to call 911. Off to ER. Every medical person at er and my gp's office, their
first question..do you smoke? I said no, I quit with e cigs 13 months ago. Everyone was
thrilled but I think all they wanted to hear is I don't smoke.

I read some suff on throwing up blood and every cause had one thing in common, they sucked.

This could go from bleeding ulcer(doubtful) to pancreatic cancer. To coughing so hard your put tears
on your insides.

I see a gastroenterologist tomorrow which is preliminary and the second appt is the procedure.

Honestly I don't think this is going to be super serious but I don't know anything about this. Good vibes welcomed!!

My husband was coughing up blood over a year ago. He had been smoking heavily at the time. After undergoing several tests and having his lungs scoped, it was determined that he had emphysema. The X-rays showed that the upper lobes of his lungs were damaged. So he immediately quit smoking. Now his lungs are so much healthier and he's fine. I couldn't get him to try the ecigs. He just wasn't interested.

Also, I've heard of people who may throw up blood from an ulcer. I'm glad you're getting the care you need. Please let us know how it all turns out. Best wishes to you.

Good luck, my friend. Keep us updated. Sounds like an ulcer to me. My grandfather had this same problem from time to time. It was not pleasant.
