So the new evic 1.2 firmware allows us to set up profiles for the power/voltage output through out a puff. Just wanted to start a thread to see what anyone is doing with that and what your experiences are.

I'll start. With the 2.2 amp limit I use my EVIC mainly for my Boge LR cartos. I set up my puff profile to start at 5 watts and increase but 0.5 watt increments until it reaches 9 watts and then remain there for however much longer I hold the fire button.

My "logic" for this was thinking 1: it would be easier on the cartos to ease into the higher wattages. 2: It would sort of give the carto time to "prime" as i'm drawing on it before it really gets hit with the power.

This is giving me very good flavor and massive amounts of vapor in my normal 5 sec. puff off a carto. Looking forward to hear what everyone else is doing and why.

Why would it?

Maybe I am confused I guess I use standard resistance ones, 2 OHMs. I burn them if I go over like 7 watts. I burn them on my twist if I go too high on the volts. Do low resistance allow you to go higher without burning them? I assumed it was the other way because I go much higher on my 2.8 OHM novas.

Boge LR cartomizers are usually at 2.0-2.2. So, 9 watts would be 4.2-4.4v

It shouldn't ruin it.

Your logic of warming up to the desired watts is the same logic as mine, but my end watts is around 7.9 using smoktech 1.9ohm. It works for me and with you. Not sure if it's the right way...(waiting for someone else to chime in...)

Boge LR cartos are 2 ohm. Usually 2.2 to 2.3 ohm. I have not burned any up at 9 watts

Sorry for hijacking the thread there a little. Please stick to the original topic guys and I will just stick to my Novas lol. I am interested in what everybody is doing with the MVR VV/VW as well. I played with it a little with VW and set it up starting at 8 for 2 sec, then 7.6 for 2 sec, 7.1 for 2 sec and 6.5 for the last 2 sec on a 8 sec auto vape and then I reversed it. Both on the same 2.8 Nova with 70VG/30 Distilled water and I got better flavor, cooler vape and more vapor on the high to low and less flavor, warmer vape and a little less vapor on low to high. Just me though and there are tons of variables obviously and small sample size (10-15 vapes apiece). So it may just come down to what type of vape you like with what juice, what delivery device and resistance level in which way you want to go. Definitely will be fun to play with.

Also while doing this I realized they need to upgrade the MVR to allow me to switch between charging only and MVR in the MVR software instead of having to keep disconnecting and reconnecting my device. Also when I first hook up the Evic it should go to charging only not charging/uploading.

I've given this some though when I heard about the janti MID and the customizable vape profiles and ended up making this idea in my head, that I should start high-ish around 9-9.5w and then pulse back to 8w and back to 9w so the coil wound't dry and still give me that vape I've come to love so I guess I would use 1 sec pulses in a wave pattern between 9w - 8w - 9w...
Does that sound logic to you guys?
I'm really interested because I believe this can increase your atty's life and also VP.

I like this idea. Going to try it later.

please let me know how it performs
9.5-8-9-8-9...
11-8-9-8-9...
7-9-8-9-8...
makes sense to start high so the coil heats up "instantly" and then maintains without burning or going to cold duh.
This thread is making my fingers itchy to go shopping ugh!!!

I've been liking the MVR VW setting of this...
11w .5secs -8.5w 4secs - 8w 4.5secs - then step down to nothing quickly after since I never vape for longer than 4 secs.

The punch in the beginning seems to help with vapor production or heating it up faster in the beginning or something. Not sure why but I like it. I also figure it'd be safer on button presses I didn't mean to do like in my pocket, but still give me something if for some odd reason I do vape a little longer than 4 secs.

Been using that set up for couple days and I really like it. Has worked flawlessly on all my 1.5-2.2 ohm vivi novas I've put on it so far. I can't seem to tell what ohms is on it unless I look, they all taste the same each time with this setting. The ohms vary on how I rebuilt it that day, I guess I'm not consistent with that. LOL
