will they ever allow the evic to go over 5 volts? anyone

At the moment it's most likely a hardware limitation and unless they do a redesign its going to stay that way. For me being limited to under 5 volts isn't a problem as I'm usually vaping in the 3.6 to 4.2 volt range.

It is unlikely, it is a hardware and not a software limitation that keeps the eVic at 5 VDC. Rather than worry about that I have started building coils that are lower resistance. Lower resistance is equivalent to raising voltage up to the 11 WATT max of the device. WATTS and not VOLTS make the difference in vape quality.

For the record, I love my eVic. I also still use my little ego batteries. I also like my Tesla a whole lot but it is a bit heavy for some day trips.
