The watts are displayed, but not on the main screen where the "puffs" are.

The 2.0 update is supposed to allow you to display the volts and ohms instead of the puff counter on the main screen. Supposedly releasing in late January. I posted the beta 2.0 video in another thread showing it but it isn't in English. PBusardo should give it shining reviews after the update seeing how they changed basically everything he said negative about it. Including putting that on the front instead of the puff counter and allowing you to turn the auto sleep/off mode to never. He still may not like the power although he says he vapes on 8.5 watts I believe.

I meant to say ohms on the main screen where the puff counter is. I now understand the ohms has also been added to the main screen.

Ughhhhhh decisions decisions. I know if I buy a provari some awesome update for the evic will come out and if I buy the evic some awesome new device will come out lol

I don't have one but your question is going to depend on what battery you use, and what watts you vape at.
I know but it also depends on the device cause I have two devices that use 18650 (gripper vv and varitube) and I use them at the same voltage and the gripper gets a good 4 maybe even 5 hours more...

that update is really going to put the evic up at the top, aside from its hardware limits, it will be a great device with little to argue about

Can someone that has an evic and vapes a lot can you tell me how long it lasts?

Also you know you can buy a mod tube for the evic to make it 18350 size. Pretty cool cause all the electronics are in the head they can probably make it to fit any battery!

I haven't done any testing but using the supplied battery it lasts pretty long. I think it will last as long as any other 18650 device if set at a similar power level and with a similar mah battery. I haven't noticed anything drastic either way.

I don't believe mah anymore as I stated before, it doesn't make sense both devices using the same battery (aw 18650 in the gripper vv last a good 4 hours longer than the varitube x, same voltage too) to top that off my varicool uses two 14500 each battery being 900mah so 1800mah all together, pisses on both of the devices. Easily reaching the whole day and at the same voltage. Explain that!?

I don't own either device, but the pictures I've seen, the evic is a fair bit longer than the ProVari when they're both in 18650 mode.

I don't think it's a very significant difference but it's slightly taller. It was smaller than expected when I opened the package, maybe the youtube reviewers have tiny hands.

Per their websites (except for eVic diameter, I got that from a vendor site)

18650 Provari 4.6"L x 0.90" D
18650 Evic 4.88"L x 0.91"D

For reference from vendors or manufacturer as available

1000mah Joye ego Twist 4.76"L x 0.55"D
EgoV v2 5.08"L x 0.67"D
Smoktech Zmax 4.9"L x 0.8"D
Anyvape V1 5.3"L x 0.9"D
Lambo 4.0 5.15"L x 0.86"D
Lavatube V2 (official) 5.0"L x 1.1"D
Vamo (full) 5.31"L x 0.87"D

So would the evic circuitry be more like the varicool or more like the varitube x and gripper vv.

The varicool uses switching regulator

From what I could tell it uses pulse width but I am not really an expert. It's doesn't have the machine gun sound some of them do from firing all the way up and down. Check out the technical part of the first pbusardo video when he scopes it, it looks like a wavy line.

Good so it's more efficient :)

And you say it can last the whole day, are you a heavy vaper?

It lasts me more than a day, I do occasionally puff on something else but I also work at home (so I have no restrictions on when I can) and only sleep about 4 hours...so I put a fair amount of time on it.

What's heavy vaping these days?

Wait...lemme plug it in and see if it gives me puffs per day...it'll be the first time i have used the puff counter.
