Somewhere between 300 and 400 puffs a day on the Evic, it lasts me probably around two days iirc (I don't really pay that much attention) before I charge it. That's in 3.5v to 4.0v neighborhood at 1.8-2.2 ohms.

I do use other things too but that's what the evic records for itself.

Edit: I have about 1000 puffs in the 4.0v-4.5v range, must have been using a 2.5ohm head on the vivi nova. Didn't notice it because I have it set for watts or maybe because I am just not that observant.

The 2.0 update is supposed to allow you to display the volts and ohms instead of the puff counter on the main screen. Supposedly releasing in late January. I posted the beta 2.0 video in another thread showing it but it isn't in English. PBusardo should give it shining reviews after the update seeing how they changed basically everything he said negative about it. Including putting that on the front instead of the puff counter and allowing you to turn the auto sleep/off mode to never. He still may not like the power although he says he vapes on 8.5 watts I believe.

Thanks for the link, new firmware looks great!

It looks like he has a stainless tube rather than textured stock tube. I hope they release that as stand alone upgrade later on. I'd definitely pay for a stainless tube kit. Would be super easy since they made the whole thing modular. That's one thing I love about this mod, no need to buy multiples of the same mod just for revisions or different colors. I just hope they don't abandon the eVic for the next big thing and keep coming with the updates and add-ons!

I have been using the evic along side a proveri and a vamo for the last two weeks. They all work great. The evic is lighter weight than the other two and I like that I can put the eGo Mega XL Carto on the evic without the adapter. Looks nice together and easy to carry. The Vamo is very heavy and long so it is not as nice to carry.

If it's down to one or the other, the Provari is your best option. The eVic was a cool idea that wasn't properly executed, leaving many vapers wanting more. The low voltage and amperage limits are its most notable shortcomings, but people have also complained about flaws in the menu system which may or may not have been ironed out in the new firmware update. I'd be interested to see what Joyetech can do with the concept if they ever decide to have a go at a v2.

The Provari performs well and is tough as a rock. VV alone seems to suit most Provari owners well, though many are hopeful for added VW functionality just for the extra option to fine tune their vapes, but it's an exceptional device as-is with outstanding quality and customer support standing behind it. If you have a large enough budget and want one or the other now, I'd say Provari takes the cake hands down.

Yea that's my fear, they come out with the V2 and forget about the one that got it all started! As for tubes, you can already buy any tube you want just buy a ego-t 18650 mod tube and it fits :) you can get any color. You can also get an 18350 mod tube to make the evic small!

Yea I know, everyone lovesss the provari but I was just a little too late to jump on the bandwagon on that one. At least I will have something new for a little time! The update they're coming out with makes it seem like it's finally a SOLID device now. As for limits, idk how people vape at such high power without it tasting sooooo burnt and hurts. I've never been able to go past 4.5V on any carto I've had so I don't think the limit will bother me much. The VW I like not because I can fine tune but because I can put on any carto and get the same vape without having to change any volts.

The eVic comes with a 2,600 mAh battery. Doesn't that make it last longer between charges than a 2,000 mAh battery?

I don't believe mah anymore as I stated before, it doesn't make sense both devices using the same battery (aw 18650 in the gripper vv last a good 4 hours longer than the varitube x, same voltage too) to top that off my varicool uses two 14500 each battery being 900mah so 1800mah all together, pisses on both of the devices. Easily reaching the whole day and at the same voltage. Explain that!?

Yea it does I'm just saying mah isn't always clear cut. It also depends on the efficiency of the device. The same battery can last longer on one device versus another device.

Well, I'm supposed to get my eVic sometime this week. There was some problem with the co-op guy losing information on his phone and lost addresses, but he said it's now in the mail. I hope I like mine.

(I don't trust phones as a internet gadget. I built my full tower computer myself out of all top quality components)

If it's a good quality product, then yes. I like the idea of internet upgrading the version. Time will tell. Joyetech seems to put out good stuff. I haven't had problems with my Twist.

Ouch lol I paid full price and still took the risk. If it turns out awesome would you have paid full price?
