Yea that's my fear, they come out with the V2 and forget about the one that got it all started! As for tubes, you can already buy any tube you want just buy a ego-t 18650 mod tube and it fits :) you can get any color. You can also get an 18350 mod tube to make the evic small!

Yeah I've been reading up on that, but the only thing I don't like is the lack of a matching top cap. The body would be stainless but the top cap would kind of put it off in my opinion. Plus it looks like he had a straight top cap rather than the tapered, dildo like top cap of the original lol. I hate that, and I don't know why all of these manufacturers keep making their mods look more and more like a woman's play thing lol. The straight top cap is what I'm after as well.

Though I have been looking at that 18350 tube mod. I'm thinking the black one. I wonder if flat vs button top matters on 18350 mod? Would be sweet to have a shorty eVic even though the battery wouldn't last nearly as long. But hey that's what passthrough charging capabilities are for! Though I think I'll wait until the new firmware comes out where you can specify your own battery capacity. Right now it's stuck at 2200 or 2600 only.

Pretty sure I read the new firmware coming out in late January you can dial in your own battery capacity :)

The top cap? You just buy the tube and screw the evic module on it. It'd look the same as it does now just different color tube.
As for flat or button top, if the 18650 works flat and button top I'm assuming the 18350 tube would work flat and button cause its the positive end that matters and the positive end wouldn't be changing due to the fact it's the same module.

Edit: ahhh I see what you're sayin about the top cap now. They'll def make matching top caps. Everyone (even third party companies) make accessories for joyetech since they're so popular so that's good

Just ordered the 18350 ego-t mod tube in black with an efest IMR 18350 battery. I will let you know how it works!
Awesome!
I hope they launch the Mac software this week so I can update it to the new version when it comes this week. Hopefully the 1.2 firmware comes out more towards the middle of January rather then the end (but they're saying the end:/)

I am using a hackintosh running OS X 10.8.2. I just use virtualbox to run a Windows XP virtual machine (use it for sub box building programs like WinISD). Worked great for running the software and updating the firmware.

Yeah it takes some time to get set up and everything, plus you need a key. Luckily I have tons of them from a deal I got a few years back. Once they release the Mac version I'll just use that (assuming it's just as good and not buggy).

I thought it was funny in their manual they have the eVic plugged into a Mac showing its USB charging capabilities, but didn't have any Mac support at the time lol.
