The original one offered by VegaBob on the Escribe forum was always 99.9%.

Here is a quote from him from that thread:

"Yes you must go the the mod tab first to clear any settings that are there now. Then go to Atty Analyzer to use the tool. Now as far as the 85% thing I am not using that any more, because these tools have the lowest resistance we could find to make them out of I don't feel we need to use the 85% number any more. I'm using the full reading from the tool to put in to my mods. I think that 85% number was came up with because we were using Atties with wires to do this test before this tool was made. Nick from Evolv came up with the idea for this tool Ed and I just got them made up he can join in and tell us what he thinks about the 85% thing now. Remember everything has resistance ( true ) but with these being made out of 99.9% pure copper and .1% pure silver I think the ohm reading would be so low it really will not matter any more. I do make sure my 510 poss pin is clean will I run my tests. I think using some no loc on the tool would even lowere the reading as well but how much off a difference it would made? I'm not sure."

I live in the US and I still bought the UK version because it is more pure copper than the US one. Plus it has that cool laser etchings (I think it is laser anyway).

Finding a bolt is one thing, but finding those fine threads would be a bit tough. Yes brass would be ok. As some use solder and that wouldn't be as good as copper or brass.

I would be ok with ten bucks but 20 is a little much I think. If I had or planned to buy ten or more of these mods maybe, but that is not the case.

I'll have a look and let you guys know if I find anything usable!

One more question if you don't mind; can I just install the Escribe version for the DNA75 with the pre-set settings in the installation wizard if I already have Escribe for the DNA200 installed, or do I need to appoint it to a different folder and rename the shortcut file on the desktop to prevent it overwriting the other version?

Yes that one is good for the DNA200 and the DNA75.

M7 x 0.5 is the size, a real odd ball here in the US, maybe better luck in the metric world.

Just to be clear, I downloaded the version for the 75 from this page: link

I wish they would put which version it is in the filename so I could just tell you which one it is but atlas.

I believe that one is just for the 75..?

I'm just double checking because I don't want anything to change on my VT200. I only want stabile software versions, no more experimental stuff.

M7, really? I measured 6mm, perhaps that's why you guys couldn't find it ;)

We have a very old hardware store in the center of town, I think it's been there for at least 60 years now. It's an odd store, narrow and very deep, barely any light. You can barely pass anyone in there, that's how narrow it is. Probably because they have more storage than store. But, if it exist, they'll have it. That's been true up to this point in my life anyway.

It is not the standard M7, make sure you ask for M7 0.5 pitch as dwc said, the standard pitches are 0.75 mm (fine), the most common, followed by 1 mm (course) and even in Europe those are unusual sizes. If I search eBay.co.uk for M7 bolt 25,000 results, M6 bolt 125,000 results, m7x0.5 bolt 0 results, you can get dies cheap from China though.

Yes that is it. Sometimes they release versions for one or more. But currently, they all point to this file and this one is the latest version and works for all DNAs.

https://downloads.evolvapor.com/SetupES.exe

The latest version doesn't have the version in the file name. That happens when a new one is released. Then it gets a version in the name.

Updated escribe and my lavebox dna75 to the latest rev. Still cannot lock res with device locked and three button push. I get the "hold to change material" screen instead.
Also, my "charging screen" settings in escribe do not take. Instead it uses whatever I set in the "running screen".
First off I don't lock my resistance on DNA chips in TC. Evolv suggests you don't unless your Atomizer doesn't have stable resistance. The DNA chips have what they call refinement. The chip checks the resistance when the Atty is cool and if the initial resistance changes because the coil is breaking in, etc. The chip refines the resistance.

That being said if you want to lock resistance. Lock the device with 5 clicks of the power button. Then hold the Power and + button down.

Cheers,
Steve

Thanks, pressing only the fire and + buttons once the device is locked turned on res lock. The device doesn't remember my res when swapping bats so I can use that feature.
Can't believe Evolve didn't include a capacitor or small internal batt on the dna75 to make sure I don't burn the !$*# out of my mouth after changing the bat. There's a LOT of temp increase between a base res of .12 cold vs. .15-.17 warm after changing the bat.
Yes, I know Evolve originally designed the dnas for lipos but they know about 18650 adaptations.

Anyone had recurring faulty chip issues with the DNA75? I've returned two SDNAs, a lavabox 75, and a vapedroid 75. Each time, after testing (or so the vendor said) the device was found faulty and I was sent a new one. The vapedroid replacement seems good. Still waiting to receive replacements for the other two.

Never had such bad luck with devices!

No recurring faulty chip issues here. All DNA75's, 200's (total of 4) without issue since new. All are reference devices used during beta testing....

What was found faulty with the device, as you say " the device was found faulty"?

Stock excuse for "manufacturer installation error"?

No idea. That's all the vendors told me.

What was happening with them? Why the returns?

Misreading resistance by a significant margin (for TC), popping in and out of TC randomly, showing temps in the 800s when temp was set to 450, showing random strings of numbers (say, for example 346712) on the screen when fired were the major issues I experienced.

Though maybe it was the kayfun 5 that was the issue so I tested all of them with my raven's moon rta as it has the best possible conductivity and rock solid connections. Wrapped spaced 316L SS coils, cleaned all the contacts, and the steam engine CSV setting. Experienced the same issues. Couldn't figure it out, contacted the vendors, vendors asked that I send them in for testing, and was told each time that the device was defective. Of course, don't know if it was the chip, the wiring, the 510, or something else.
