The new drone must have an upgraded (silicon) bottle? They're all most identical, so a spare new drone bottle, maybe?
The LV 7 mil isn't cheap! I think it was $30 for 5, wouldn't of been too bad if that hole didn't bug me!

That hole would bug me to, I'd be tempted to use some JB Weld to close that off. I'd use a dremel and put a chamfer on the edges both on the inside and out, wouldn't have to be all the way around, just enough so the epoxy would form a lip on both sides and it wouldn't be able to fall in or out. A little tape on the inside to act as a dam until the epoxy set up, a little sanding and the hole would be gone.

How about some superglue on the ring

I like the little rubber plug Idea best :) No foreign substances mixing in with my juice.
I can just pull the little plug out if I want to put them in the dishwasher :)
Because there silicon & very flexible it's not easy to plug the hole permanently :(

Plugging a stupid little hole becomes a complex issue! the silicon bottle has a bump out that fits perfect in the hole in the little metal ring, this is were the hole in the bottle is, the second metal ring witch swivels is sposto block the hole :( It don't! I tried putting plumbers tape between the 2 metal rings & it still leaks :( The tiny hole in the silicon bottle is the real issue :( By forcing in a rubber plug the outer metal ring holds it in place.
I imagine a fair bit of pressure is in that bottle when it's squeezed!

Yeah it's good stuff! Some time ago I posted about a time I used it to fix a engine block on a buddy's car back when I was twisting wrenches for a living. It's not something I would have ever suggested as a fix for a customer, but he was facing expensive repairs on an old vehicle and I told him no promises it would hold. My old Hyundai Acce(den)t had a leaky thermostat block with it's press fit heater tubes. JB Weld on the tube end, pressed it back into the opening then drilled a hole for a self tapping screw to lock it in place.

Stayed leak free until the car finally got crushed.

It's almost certainly stronger than any part of a Vega's engine! :laugh:
You scrap the 4 banger and put a SBC in it. Or as I did a side oiler 427 Ford but that particular wagon was just a body shell on a tube frame.

Pinto makes me think of my hero when I was a young man. Buddy Ingersoll was putting 26 psi of boost to those Pinto engines and running 9's (he made 9.90 IIRC after the article below) in the quarter when it didn't grenade. In the 70's that was insane.

That is very cool! Takes me back to those days of that era, wish I had the cars I owned back then now.

Some years ago I went to the local John Deere dealer to pick up parts for my 1970's 140 garden tractor, while at the parts counter I notice a photo on the bulletin board of a 140 with no hood and four exhaust pipes/stacks sticking straight up and some kind of large engine. I ask the parts guy what that mod was, he told me it was his 140 he used for garden tractor pulls with a Pinto engine. I asked him if he was using the stock hydrostat transmission and axle and if it was holding up, indeed it was. Like a lot of things built years ago, the hydorstat trans used in those was over kill, much heavier than anything they use on a tractor of that size. With my 140 with the stock old Kohler 14 horse I have pulled large mid 80's cars like an 84 LeSabre around the yard without any problem, I can only imagine what a ride that would be with a Pinto engine! Those of you who've spent years saying, "I'll do that when hell freezes over," are gonna be pretty busy tomorrow.

We aren't going to get it as bad here as some folks, Thank God! For NY they are predicting -5 F tomorrow night, but then rain and almost in the 40's Sunday, next Tues will be in the mid 40's, quite a swing in just a few days.

Well my Aromamizer nearly got the best of me. I went back to basics and used twisted 28 SS430 starting with the single deck. There I learned the importance of tail length and thinning. Onward to the dual deck, applied tail length/thinning knowledge and appear successful...at last.
The thing made me feel like a Noob.
