I suppose nobody tried those BB SXK Odis BOXXER RDTA?

Over & above what laurie9300 had to say! IMO the "Gene Style" atty that puts the coil So close to your mouth & relies on the wicks to pull juice uphill is fundamentally Flawed :(
Back when this style was popular I got an Avocado 24 & a Limitless Gene Style Atty's.
Both were put on the shelf very quickly :(

A very good rebuildable for the Boro & my favourite is the Exocet :)

I agree with everything Steamer861 said. Right down to my fave the exocet as well. However, the insider comes with 2 chimneys.
Well I believe I am diving in and trying them.
To add, from the Odis beta to their final release, it appears there was a fundamental error, and that build deck ended up raised and no lip/ledge around it, so when you laid it flat, juice leaked. I don't have either, but I imagine SXK copied the flawed final release.

And their prior release (the flow) was just as big of a flop. So many fittment issues. They had a special page on their site just for the 'flow' issues. Then they removed it and everything related to it. Ooooh, but now coming out with the V2.

Brings back memories, when I first started twisting wrenches there was one of those old trailer dinners just down the road from the shop, typical good old greasy spoon run by an a guy who probably really was an ex-navy cook. I use to love going there for lunch, quick in and out, good food and good prices. On Wednesdays the place would be packed, they had the best homemade chicken and biscuits, I've since yet to find any as good as what they made. Only thing is the waitresses did not look like the poster above.

    RDTAs...
The Avocado 24 was a total PoS for me, it was beat to death with a maul. The Serpent RDTA was a great single coil tank but the noise from the airflow made it unusable. I still use the Limitless Plus and Combo RDTAs, great for what they are though, juice burners. :D The Pindad is awesome by the way, it's just so tiny. ;)

I looked at the Boxxer tank and said there is no possible way that won't be a complete mess if laid over like any other RDTA. Wicking would be way too critical on it, too tight so it doesn't leak (dry hits & vacuum lock) or loosely wicked so it would drain if laid over.

RDTA Is a name/acronym coined by Steam Crave, that the Gene styled attys Stole!
It all ways bothered Me when they used that term for a "Gene Style"! A tank with the coil on top & the juice below with feeder wicks is a Gene!

I look at all of them as drippers with really deep wells...

Except for Steam Crave where they are more RTA than RDTA to me, I've read their explanation of the RDTA naming convention.

The Original Aromamizer was a Game changer IMO! The Dripper Style Air holes & bottom juice flow was one of the very few innovations, that didn't come from Svoemesto.
For this Tank they coined the RDTA! Then the Gene styled fools! who just copied a Gene! Stole the RDTA Acronym! It cant be explained away, it's how it happened :)

Wifey likes the OG 22. I like the Serpent mini 25. Don't know about the RDTA version, but the SMM version is by far the loudest atty I ever used, and a total POS. I've refused to buy the latest.

I received my Kanger RBA heads today and learned that they are different than what I expected, these are v2's and the one that I already had was a v1. V2's have smaller and higher juice ports as well as smaller air intake holes. While comparing the two versions I realized that I could repair the V1 by sanding down some of the bottom insulator (broken positive pin). Anyway I have the old one up and running.
To use the mini RBA in the full sized Subtank requires that floating positive pin in the base to be longer which I had previously done. That spring loaded part of it has been long gone.

This is so weird. All of mine came with the oldest RBA which unscrews from the base, unlike newer ones that has that one holding screw that you loosen and then pull off. I changed all of mine to the newer RBA and they work fine between the Plus v2 and the Mini v1. Which those two use the same RBA.

The one older still was the original Plus v1 that you had to swap the top of the tank for OCC or the RBA (and your stuck with that original RBA that fits nothing but the Plus v1). The chimney was very narrow on the Plus v1 RBA. The Plus v2 was very much like the Mini v1 and came out about the same time. And the early ones (Plus v2 and Mini v1) used that RBA that you had to unscrew instead of loosening the screw and pull off. But even those fits everything except the Plus v1.

So just to be clear, the Subtank pictured is not the Plus but the original one that you had to change the chimney tube between RBA and disposable heads.

Man how did you get those newer RBAs to fit in the original? I call those original as the Plus v1. Originally they were just Subtank. Then the Mini and the Nano came out later with the Plus.

First off I'm using the chimney tube for the disposable heads. I removed the floating positive pin from the base, snipped off that spring loaded pin sticking out and applied a blob of silver solder to that end. Then I put the in back into the base upside down so the larger end was on the inside. Also I put a slightly thicker o-ring on the base of the head but probably wasn't necessary.
The floating pin inside the base is around 3 mm longer now.
