Happy Thanksgiving Steamer861 and TrollDragon!

Right back at you Wayneo. It must be Canadian tradition to have the Turkey the Sunday before Thanksgiving? We also had ours yesterday :)
I stripped the rest of the bird down this morning for the second tradition, Left over Turkey sandwiches :)

God I haven't heard a good newfie Joke in ages!

$1658.00 later for an Iphone 11 Pro Max, 256 Gb, 2 year loss-theft-apple care, tax. Now if I could only get my son to take out the trash.
Don't forget those Shure SE846 earphones to go with that fancy iPhone. They are only a grand (iPhone adapter sold separately). ;)

The SE846 were top dog for a long time, many a more expensive IEM out there these days.

Chi-Fi has come a long way with the offerings from KZ and CCA, you can get 8 or 10 BA (Balanced Armature) driver IEMs for less than $50 now.

Hey TD, they do gall bladder with laproscopy now a days, not much of a big deal at all compared to what it used to be.
They did the wife's that way, just a matter of finding the time to book it in. I hate waiting in the hospital. I'd have to be fully psyched up to go in, have the Nintendo Switch, battery pack and a good selection of audio for the headphones with me. :)

Wonder what jerk turkey would be like?
It's really quite good, but we'll just fry up some aleady cooked Turkey with Jerk Sauce and onions, or make a creamy curry with Turkey. The jerk would call for Rice and peas (rice with kidney beans and water, scotch bonnet, thyme and coconut Or same thing but with gungo peas (pigeon peas). Creamy curry calls for white rice.

This year we grew near 200 perfectly shaped Scotch bonnet peppers, and those MF'ers are hot. So from the 2016 and 2017 bags I made some hot pickled peppers (Apple vinegar, 2 peppers, allspice, garlic, thyme, carrots, cucumber, onion) I only waited a week before I dug into it. You just use that as a condiment on the side of your plate.

Been using the SE846 almost daily for several years now. Not only do they sound great, but also super durable. Aside from slight discolouration on the cable, they are showing no worse from wear. And the cable to IEM connection is still good as new. When paired with the right output impedance, they sound great – but come to life with a little power behind them. They scale very well with improvements upstream.

Since acquiring the SE846’s I have not been following the IEM market, so no idea how they compare to current offerings. But IMO, it’s not how many BA’s you can cram into an earphone that determines sound quality.

Hopefully our Canadian members are not suffering from a turkey hangover!

I fully agree on the BA stuffing but Chi-Fi has come up in the IEM ranks by leaps and bounds, there are quite a few audiophile grade IEMs in the $50 dollar range these days.

No doubt China has upped their quality with IEM’s and doing so at a low cost. Like everything with audio, it all subjective and in the end the product must have value to the user.
