Sounds overly complicated and prone to failure. Wonder how adding the mechanical components save production costs?Earlier I asked how can a single filament bulb function as both low and high beam. It's done with a shutter that's operated with a solenoid. My little brain has become overly saturated with knowledge.
On the HIDs the glass bulb extends or retract in it's base for low and high beam via electromagnet.
Look at it this way, instead of a ten dollar bulb you get to spend a few hundred on an automatic bulb retractor system. Want to be the service guy would recommend replacing both sides at once? It actually turns into a "profit center".
Man, is it tough being a curmudgeon.

Both the Zeus X RTA and the Zeus X Mesh RTA are flavor bangers, I'm not a top air guy either but both of these are the exception. I reviewed both and will leave the links below if you want to read them. Hope they help in your decision.Been hearing lots of nice things about the Geekvape Zeus tank for a few years now. So while I was looking for something different that I haven't tried, I investigated the GV Zeus. And there are actually 5 of them.
Now rebuildable Zeus, I believe it goes like this:
- Geekvape Zeus Sub Ohm (stock drop in coils)
All are 25mm except for the dual which is 26mm. All can handle single coil builds while the Dual and the X can handle dual builds. They are all top airflow which generally means they lack flavor. But they say, not so for the Zeus. And the last two are exactly the same except the build deck is different and can be purchased separately. Okay I believe I am sold, going to give the X a shot and maybe get the mesh deck if this turns out.
