I will have to look and see if the Haku came with the solid pin, perhaps I can drill it. Then deal with the shortened insulator. Probably be a job for a drill press which I don't have or have access to one. I always wanted one for a Dremel, maybe it's time.

Tonight I have acquired one of these, Oreck Magnesium, it is unbelievably light and fell like it is self propelled (not). Super condition. It's 10 year old but looks 6 months old. New bags ordered.

Does that pin go through the tank and right to the deck? If so, that pin is really long. I won't even attempt that with a drill press. But it would be fine with a lathe. Remember drill a hole right through the side so squonking dumps into the tank first, then drill a hole through the pin and stop once you're far enough to reach the other hole. At least that is how it works on the original.

I found the other pin, no way would I attempt it.
It's working good at the moment, I will tire of it soon most likely.

No dwcraig1, that pin doesn't have that cross hole in it. That's another piece.

Ya the positive coil post extend down the center to the positive pin, it has the side hole.
It's really working well, I must be getting better at it.

My son works at a Starbucks near by, has for 3 + years. He is able to get one free bag of coffee per week but he was bringing them home and decorating the place with them along with their discarded advertising signage.
Well a month ago he sets a box with quite a few bags of beans next to my desk containing all these bags of old beans. He also disposed of the advertising stuff. I was going to throw the coffee away but hadn't got around to it. Today I ground some up and made a pot, it just finished and I'm going to try it right now.
The bag that I choose was for Christmas 2020.....BTW
