What do those swivels look like? Anything like fishing line swivels? You can get then with ball bearings, they spin nicely to keep the fishing line from twisting, they come in sizes from tiny on up. Some with a closure end and some with rings on both ends, check these pics --> https://images.search.yahoo.com/sea...ing+fishing+line+swivels&fr2=piv-web&fr=crmas
Yes, they are the ball bearing type fishing swivels.

I somehow manage to thread two 28ga wires through that little rod that comes with the jig, and put that in the drill chuck.
Yep, thats how you are supposed to use that jig.

put your credit card in a safe place, please! :D

Ha! Much, much, much too late for that, tibs...as far as vaping-unrelated things are concerned. Even then, Credit Karma says my credit card use is "Excellent". :p

Does anyone know when Vaping.Watch stopped offering the 4 - 30mL bottle packs?!?! Do I need to apply more "The Deeming" hate? :grr:

So I've been using nickel on my DNA 75's and 200's for TC a long time now, dual coils, five spaced wraps on a 2.5 mm rod with rayon coming in around .03 ohms in the mizers. I have no problems running .03 ohms on the 75's and 200's but it's right on the edge for the 40's and 60 boards and I really like the small form factor of the mods I can build with those boards. I'm trying hard to give stainless wire another go because I get higher ohm coils that run well on the 40's and 60's but I can't get the same good flavor with stainless to save my ...., it's very muted, I might as well vape flavorless juice. I get the thing same with stainless on the 75's and the 200's, is that just the nature of stainless? If not I'm doing something wrong and I need to figure it out soon or I'll shelve the stainless, again but I don't want to. I wan't to be able to use the smaller 40 and 60 mods dang nab it! Grrrr.... (bear growl!) I've tried UD and no name stainless from the local shop (identical results) and I've been using the Evolv preloaded CSV temp curves, don't know if these are a factor?
It's all in our heads, I'm telling ya... To me, 430SS gives the cleanest flavor and I swear I can "taste" wires like kanthal or nife's. And yeah I know I shouldn't be able to have perceive any different, and then I must have subliminally convinced my gf as well bc she now thinks those wires as somehow "unclean"

I swear all of them have a different taste though, I say just use whatever tastes best to you, I wish nife's tasted better to me than SS430 bc I think they're better in TC but it doesn't.

My buddy ties his own fishing lures...some of those tools he uses, aside from swivels, that look applicable to coil creation.

I also fish as a hobby, a lot of that stuff gets double usage lol

Yep, you and style should get in like a house on fire. You both share the same misguided view on the divine art that is Squonking......
Get it right Laurie , I call squonk mods Sippy Cups, as you well know :)

Well if that's the case, I'll get on first and show off my custom Krisma panels, just so style's will look all drab in comparison.....

If style is true to form, he'll decide it doesn't perform as well as his harem of Treeboxes and move it on a couple of days after receiving it anyway......
Haha, I won't be competing with Krismas work, I will stick with ebony wood panels as wood is my thing. If I had ordered avalone you would have had me committed Laurie...

You forget that the only other mod that's ever survived being hate posted back at a vendor was an Efusion DNA 200 (which I wish I hadn't sold), so this is not going to be my first rodeo with lostvapes or the DNA. We'll overlook the DNA40 that I had to replace the board in twice and still only worked for 2 weeks...but many had DNA40 horror stories in the day.

Nup, the epetite will get a permanent spot. I'll probably still favour the TB's though, still the best tc vape I've ever had. The DNA is next best...vewwy close :)

Mmmmm? All were posted from Tapatalk, and all are showing in Tapatalk, the page is now full of them! It might be a Tapatalk thing?
Tapatalk doesn't respect inages that are linked as url, it treats them as though tagged as img....maybe that's what is going on...even if the pic isn't tagged property in the forum page or there's a slight issue with url, Tapatalk seems to just display them...I found this out the other day when I specifically posted that pineapple pic at home as a url link in the web version of our forum on purpose to avoid mentally scarring people right off the bat, only to later access the post via Tapatalk and see it just displayed the image anyways....I then put up an apology to Tapatalk users :)

Many of us call them "bottom feeders".

Yeah I'd heard bottom feeders but wanted to put my own spin on it.

At home the squonkers have kind of embraced it and owned it...bloody annoying, the thick skinned weirdos...

I also call them gravity denialists...I'm an rta user, gravity was good enough for Isaac Newton, Einstein and to feed my rta's wicks, so I always ask them why they're fighting established science and a fundamental law of the universe to squirt juice up into their wick...some people want to do everything the hard way...

Yeah, a lot of my online friends are bottom feeders, and yes indeed, a thick skinned lot. The thing is I respect their modding skills immensely though, a good squonker is an engineering feat. Just not my cup of tea, and those who know me know I enjoy lots of different teas.

ETA: I like the "Sippy Cup" thing though, I may borrow that.

To each their own vape though, it ALL beats the stinkies.

So you wanna play the physics card? OK, I'm down with that.
There's another phenomenon since the creation event, it's called vacuum (low pressure), it's part of vaping RTAs (an evil part). You can wick to reduce the low pressure of that air above your juice in your tank but you can't eliminate it or your tank will piss out every drop of juice all over your mod. Once you find a compromise between flooding and dry hits YOUR STILL FIGHTING GRAVITY. That juice doesn't magically make it from the juice channel to the coil, it requires the capillary action of the wicking to draw the juice up there (fighting gravity). If that's not bad enough as soon as you start vaping an RTA your wicks start drying out and will not begin saturating until you stop your draw ie bubbles rising in the tank. (No air into the tank; no juice out).

In a squonker the same capillary action is present however your not fighting a vacuum. As a result the juice saturation of coil/wick is better regulated (during the vape) as the wicktails draw residual juice from the juice well. Same applies to all RDAs.

Ok, so what's my end game here? Better flavor. Even though the GV Ammit Dual RTA has brought me closer to RDA flavor that any other I've tried it's still not there.

Caveat, the evil caused by vacuum in an RTA has a lesser negative effect on flavor with tootle puffer RTA tanks than higher performance ones due to the increase in vacuum produced within the atty chambers ie tight draw.

There's a reason why very few vapers who have squonked with a good build/wicking/atty ever go back to RTAs. Mike P has, but then well, it's Mike.

End rant.

Well you can heap me in there to!
I like a good squonk on occasion :) But much prefer tanks, just for the hassle free vape!
I can replicate squonk quality vape with tanks :)
