So you wanna play the physics card? OK, I'm down with that.
There's another phenomenon since the creation event, it's called vacuum (low pressure), it's part of vaping RTAs (an evil part). You can wick to reduce the low pressure of that air above your juice in your tank but you can't eliminate it or your tank will piss out every drop of juice all over your mod. Once you find a compromise between flooding and dry hits YOUR STILL FIGHTING GRAVITY. That juice doesn't magically make it from the juice channel to the coil, it requires the capillary action of the wicking to draw the juice up there (fighting gravity). If that's not bad enough as soon as you start vaping an RTA your wicks start drying out and will not begin saturating until you stop your draw ie bubbles rising in the tank. (No air into the tank; no juice out).
In a squonker the same capillary action is present however your not fighting a vacuum. As a result the juice saturation of coil/wick is better regulated (during the vape) as the wicktails draw residual juice from the juice well. Same applies to all RDAs.
Ok, so what's my end game here? Better flavor. Even though the GV Ammit Dual RTA has brought me closer to RDA flavor that any other I've tried it's still not there.
Caveat, the evil caused by vacuum in an RTA has a lesser negative effect on flavor with tootle puffer RTA tanks than higher performance ones due to the increase in vacuum produced within the atty chambers ie tight draw.
There's a reason why very few vapers who have squonked with a good build/wicking/atty ever go back to RTAs. Mike P has, but then well, it's Mike.
End rant.
