clinton ar
So I threw some 3.0 I'd ss316l Claptons 6 wraps ohms bout 0.465 gold goes down to .35 when vaping what's a good wattage

Accidentally threw 1 6 and 1 7 wrap and was getting ohms to high then realizes the 7 wrap?
Not really enjoying the vape on them

I get the dna has a 6 volt cut off

Dual 3mm 6 wrap 28g claptons is really pushing the limits of a dna75. I would limit the wraps to 5. What atty are you using?

As asked in the other thread, which DNA is it?

If you look at the datasheet for a DNA75 you will see that as the ohms go up, the maximum power goes down.
They dont show SS.

You can find the datasheets here: EVOLV - Home

Since you are new to TC, I would try a normal coil first, before jumping into dual claptons. You are kind of jumping in the deep end of the pool before learning to swim. Get the hang of it on a single wrap. Claptons have a lot more metal mass, and that requires more current to get to a specified temp.

A good site to visit is steam engine, go here and plug in your values:

The paranormal 166 uses DNA 250 I don't understand steam engine nor vape tool the values never match what I end up wrapping

I just remember someone saying .5 coil is good up to like 75 watts

I just wanna know what the range is

I haven't used tc yet don't get alot of time to study during the week so I haven't got escribe yet

I'll keep everything in the other thread I got just to keep this place clutter free

But from my understanding the 166 boards do have a 6 volt cut off

First morning in a week I can open the whole forum. Before it was only the top part, but the whole thing wouldn't display. Both the new Aluminum and the old ECF. Happy I can finally have my morning coffee again. I was getting kinda frustrated there.

Jut a quick one here. I assume you're in VW and not TC yet. When you say a 0.5 ohm coil is good to 75W, just what coil and tank do you mean. There are lots of 0.5 ohm coils out there (including whatever you dream up yourself) and so any sort of rule like "good to 75W" isn't really meaningful. More info would help a lot.

Oh, and also, a 166 board (which is a 250 board but with only 2 batteries) is good to 9V not 6v (that's the older DNA 75 board).

Wait, I though the regulator topology of the DNA 200/250 series was buck-only?

If so, you can't get 9V out of it when run in 133/166 configuration with only 2 cells, where the input voltage maxes out at 8.4.
