Sitting down, facing forward.
I have five mods on the end table where I normally sit. Three more on the dining room table. One, a dripper, on my office desk. One more over near the door for when I go out to walk Leo or do yard work. I've managed to "relax" enough when going out for a while, shopping or whatever, and usually only take two with me. When one goes dead I either charge it with onboard if it's a 200, 250C or 75C or swap the battery for the rest. For my own sanity, I maintain the same flavor in each mod and only really use four different flavors total.

I exclusively use onboard charging. If one Mod goes dead I just grab another Mod and throw the dead one on a USB cord.
Most of my mods are Lipo's :) So I do a lot of usb charging also.
I do have a few round cell mods, I use the Nitecore SC4 on round cells, never charge round cells on board.

I probably take around 10 to work.

Wow! I only take 2 to work with me, 2 really big ones :)
How do you carry all those mods? You must have a back pack or a Purse?

4's the tops for me, I don't feel so bad now either:)

You bring 4 to work? Or just have 4?
If I only had 4 I wouldn't feal to bad either :)

I maintain the same flavor in each mod and only really use four different flavors total.

I have a diffrent flavour juice in every mod I have! Around 40 different recipes :)
I use the same wire, the same TC, & cotton wicks on most of them, the flavour is the only thing that makes them different :)

My Murse is a med size Kobalt tool bag. 6 perfect mod size pockets on the outside, more pockets on the inside and a good size area in the middle for a fishing lure box (for extra attys) and a tool kit. On the jobsite my man-purse just looks like any other tool bag.

Last time I stayed overnight away from home I used a case I've had for many years to haul all my stuff. I first acquired back when I dabbled in 35mm photography as a hobby/side job. My brother in law owned a camera shop in Ithaca, NY so I got stuff at cost and did some candid photo shoots for him at frat and sorority parties at Cornell University which is just over the hill from here. When he got into debt with me he give me some stuff to pay me off instead of cash, worked well for both of us. This case was one of the things I wanted, I know they didn't cost that much then, I think it was around $200 he owed me at that time and we called it even, looking them up just now I'm shocked what they sell for today, $545 list! I also used it to carry my target handguns to the Bullseye Pistol matches I use to shoot, these cases are tanks but I wouldn't pay that today!

Hey Troll Hows that "Glaz" RTA? I keep passing it over cause of the Dual Coil deck & the all Glass Construction, But I bet the Flavour is on Point?
It's quite tasty with a little less airflow than the Plus on the narrow slot. It's designed as a flavor tank with smaller builds (3mm). It has bottom airflow and no JFC so I've been keeping it overnight on an atty stand in a container just in case there was an issue with my wicking. It has not leaked once sitting or refilling, I'm just paranoid. :) The sliding top is great for refilling, and the glass chamber displays your build and wicking for all to see. It is a bit of a juice pig though, I have a pair of parallel 26ga SS316L coils in it at the moment providing a very good vape at 75W. Coil placement has a lot to do with flavor on this tank and having the coils closer to center seems to be the sweet spot. A few have put a single 4mm coil on the deck with good results, I have not tried that yet.

There might be other decks for it down the road as possibly a 25mm version as well as that true MTL tank.
Many good things from Steam Crave.

I take 2 wherever I go and 4 with extra batteries and charger if I'm going to be gone overnight.

One day my wife, upon seeing a dozen or so mods on my desk and knowing there were at least twice that in my vape stuff cabinet, asked me why I needed so many "huffy things" when I only had 1 mouth. In one of my rare quick thinking moments I replied with "Why do you have so many shoes but only 2 feet?" The look on her face was well worth the night on the couch.

My last working DNA mod got retired about 6 months ago because it was pulling cells down to nearly zero when left alone for a about a week. FWIW, it was a DNA30.

None of my mech squonkers have ever failed because I swapped batteries too fast. In fact, none of 'em have ever failed in a way that I couldn't fix on the spot.

I've been in Florida all summer and I only have five mods here.

I'm perfectly content to go out all day and only take two mods, with the second one being strictly a backup. I don't need spare batteries or juice either.

Life is good.

When I was deep into shooting matches I knew the wife would have a fit if she knew how many handguns and long guns I had so I keep them in a safe in the reloading room. I could walk past her with a different gun every hour and she wouldn't know the difference but then one night she walked in the room when the safe was open.... It was almost a week of silence around here, and she did a lot of clothes shopping that week knowing I wouldn't dare say a peep. Unfortunately after I had my accident and before they finally took my leg having been self employed I was without income and was forced to sell most of them, but I got a little more out of them then I had paid and had the enjoyment of them for a long time so it really I guess it was all meant to be. They turned out being a slight investment that became a bail out, accept it, turn the page and move on.

I have some DNA 30 boards I won't be using, pulled from new mods I put other boards in, if you want one your welcome to it. Also have a couple 40's if you want one of them instead.

Oh, thanks to Mike's CoOps, I have plenty of spares. DNA30s, 40s, and even some 25s. I just don't feel motivated to tear down and rebuild the mods.

I try to make those winter projects, gives me something to do when I'm stuck inside. I have a few waiting on me now, not that I need more working mods but it can be fun tinkering when it's not something I "have" to do. When I can tinker for a hour then leave it for a day or two it's more enjoyable then like needing to fix a fav mod to put back into rotation.

I like the 250D (no C's here) for its 2 amp charging, even when connected with data it's good.
On my 200's at work I connect a battery bank to my laptop to get 1 amp to them.
At home I have a good 2.4A per USB slot charger.
Never do I charge my 166 cells out of the mod...did that before....it has a new board now.
Also I'll never buy another 2 cell (8.4 volt) DNA mod again.
Ya think they'll shoot me for say'in it?
So what do you guys do if you want to keep vaping on it if it needs to be charged? Plugging in reminds me like the same problem with electric cars. Battery gets low, now you have to go home and recharge for hours.

Yes I had one of those PowerBot (PB5007) seven 2A slot chargers once and one comment said his went up in smoke. But nobody else seemed to have that problem. So I bought one and after two months, one day it was plugged in but not charging anything and I just happened to be there and I heard a pop, then smoke.

I didn't bother getting another one until about two weeks back, when I noticed XTAR has their own six 2.4A slot charger. I really like XTAR products. So I bought it and it is doing really well so far. I haven't pulled 2.4A off of six ports yet, but just three at 2A. And I was surprised that it wasn't even getting warm or anything.

I still have a lot of working 2 cell 200 and 250C mods. And I really like them and I am not going to stay away from them myself. I'll just swap batteries much slower from now on. :) The ones that failed on me are:
  1. HCigar VT133 (2 cell DNA200)
  2. HCigar VT133 (2 cell DNA200)
  3. Hotcig DX200 (3 cell DNA200)
  4. Lost Vape Therion BF (1 cell DNA75C)
P.S. Yes Rossum, I usually wake up about this time on most mornings. Actually I just woke up an hour ago. :)

I have more mods then I can use from good deals in co-op's and getting hooked on building mods. :) So I charge the mods via the boards, I have a six port high output charger with a bunch of usb cables setting on top of the desktop case under my desk. When a mod gets low I swap it out for another, I also like smaller mods so having multiples takes away the need for bigger mods.
Yeah... I don't think I could live easily by charging with the mod itself. That just puts it out of service until it is charged. And I like load and go so much better. And batteries in an external charger, I don't care of it takes 5 minutes or 6 hours to charge. As I won't need them again for a few days anyway when they fall back in line in rotation again.

Remember when I was disappointed not being able to watch the charge rate on the C board screens and made the clear plastic fire button so the LED was visible?
Yes I remember. I have a low to the floor shelf that I put my external battery chargers and any mods are charging by USB. The battery chargers I can see what is happening by looking that way. But mods I can't see unless I pick them up. And 75C/250C it is easy enough to tap the select button to light up the screen while I pick it up anyway. So it hasn't been a big deal for me.

That's because I like to glance down at the mods charging under the desk, they are tucked back where I won't catch a cable with my prosthetic foot and yank them onto the floor. I can't feel cords caught on that foot until it's too late, it's a problem when working in my shop with the trouble light cord and the air hose from the compressor, constantly have to look down to make sure I don't have that foot caught up in something that will make me nose dive to the concrete when I take a step....
Oh yeah, no feeling in a prosthetic foot. Well I have diabetic neuropathy, which causes pain and numbness mostly in my feet. So I may not feel a cord around my feet either too well, so I know what you mean. Same in the shop. I have to look down a lot and then I smack my head on something I have hanging up high.

Naw, your rc charger/cycler probably maxes at 6amps or less discharge current. In a dna75 set to 75w it's yanking upwards of 20amps, that's probably why mine vented ie I suspect my previously over-discharged sony vtc5 had developed an internal resistance much higher than normal.
Yes I believe you are absolutely right. But I would guess that virtually before any cell vents, it gets really hot. When my mod gets hot and it normally doesn't, I quickly eject my battery(ies) and check the temperature. I use 50°C tops, Aspire uses 70°C tops, and I believe Mooch uses 100°C tops. I figure no cell is likely to ever vent at 50°C.

But yeah, you convinced me. I'm not even going to try. They can be found 5 bucks new anyway and it is just cheaper and safer just to dispose of it and just eliminate it from becoming a future problem. :D
