While the orion looks like just a pod and it is small like a pod, but it vapes like a DNA40. Also it is also good for advanced MTL and DTL users. So wouldn't it be cool to shrink your mod down and make it really small to have it really portable from time to time? That's the orion. :)

What ever works for you is what you should use and be happy with. :) I just happen to stumble across one of my 40 mods last night, threw an atty on it and gave it my best effort but it didn't take long and I was back to one of my 200's, the 40 just can't deliver enough "for me".

This was stealthy enough for me for a long time.

I vape lots of different things. Squonkers, drippers, tanks, pods, etc. And I also vape MTL and DTL too. I am always looking for a better way than what I am doing now. Sure I could always just vape the same old way, but why? Why stop learning? You might miss out discovering something that would have make things so much easier and better (I just switched from cotton to rayon for example). I maybe old, but I refuse to be an old fuddy-duddy. :)

I stop looking for better, when I found TC on Titanium :)
I'm all ways on the look out for a better atty, but lately they are Few & Far Between! :(
If that make me an old "Fuddy-Duddy" So be it :)

If Small is your end game! it's hard to beat the Mini B or the Tomahawk :)

I guess you are more like me than you led on. Otherwise you still would be vaping on your DNA40s. :)

Sitting down, facing forward.
I still use a DNA40 on a regular basis, the low tank I built from scratch. The big trick is figuring out an atomizer/coil combination that works for you. I'm using an FEV V4 with modified air flow, used a Dremel to open the air inlets, with a 3.3mm, NI200, 30 gauge, 6 wrap coil. Produces tons of vapor and flavor at 15 to 20 watts. I do use replay on my 250C and 75C mods. One of these days I'm going to convert a Movkin Disguiser to a DNA60, the board in it failed and it looks like a good candidate for a DNA60 with dual 18650s in parallel.

Flash eVapor FTW!

I remember way back, when I got my Flash E working real good! Getting the mesh feeder tubes just rite was the trick for me. It was/still is an amazing tank. I got the Hot Cig glass tank kit for it & rocked it for a long time.
If it wasn't so big & goofy looking, I would probably still use it today, it's that Good!

I converted all my "keeper" DNA40 mods to 60's :) The DNA 60 is the under rated Gem in the DNA line!
I have yet to have even one issue with the 60! I'm running 10 of them combined small & large screen :)

I just cant see how 950mAH would be a viable battery? I need at least an 18650, even in my stealth mods & the more mAH the merrier for every thing else!
During my recent trip to Germany, I ran three Aspire Breeze things, the original ones, 'cause I didn't want to risk any of my good mods being confiscated by customs on the way in for not being TPD compliant. They're obviously not as high tech, but have a comparable battery and liquid capacity. Two of 'em had 36mg 70PG salt liquid in 'em, for stealth purposes, while the third had my regular 13mg 65VG freebase. I had no issues with battery or liquid capacity on the five days when I was stuck in the booth for nine hours a day, but on the off days when I mostly used the one loaded with my regular liquid and was able to vape more or less normally, capacity was very much a problem with that device.

So an Orion would probably work for me on those occasions when my vaping is seriously restricted, but that's quite rare, as in it happens once every two years.

Another, somewhat unrelated point. The commercial salt liquid I was using was totally clear and not over-flavored or very sweet. Yet I could never make it through a whole 2ml before it made the Breeze coils produce a burnt taste. I'm super glad I took spare coils! I had no such problem with my regular freebase liquid. I went though more than 20ml of that on one coil and it still tastes and works fine. Anyone else notice that high concentrations of salt nic seems to kill coils very quickly?

So wouldn't it be cool to shrink your mod down and make it really small to have it really portable from time to time? That's the Orion.
Meh. My normal mods are small and light enough that carry one in my shirt pocket all the time, but with a 3000 mAh 18650 and 7ml of juice on board, I have no capacity anxiety, which I surely would with an Orion.

This is my whole Point, for me @ 2mg. A Pod mod is moot.
I would never increase my nic, FB or Salt to a level were I would vape such a substantially lower amount that 950mAH or 3mills would be enough.

BTW nice write up on your pod experience :thumb:
Have you considered maybe it's the 36mg of nic that gunks the coil?
I have no experience with high nic so I'm just speculating, it mite be the nic content it self reducing coil life?

Don't get me wrong Steamer861, but I love lower nic. But that means tons more juice, larger batteries, larger mods, larger tanks, etc. Going to higher nic, all of this drops to a 1/5 of want it once was. I still vape both ways. But it makes me smile when I vape high nic for a few days and never needed battery charging, didn't even vape through a 10ml bottle yet, etc.

Yes and no, yes I progressed over the years from the gas station cig look alikes up to now using DNA 75's, 200's and a few C boards. The path took me through DNA 30's and 40's but at each step I paused for a long time satisfied with the new vape I had found. I'm very happy with the 75's and 200's with mizer's topping them off, I love the huge clouds and free drawing lung hits, now that I here there's no going backwards, only upwards and it will be some time before something comes along to outshine what I use now. Now that's just "me" and what makes "me" happy, what works for you and makes you happy I'm all for. I have no desire to try sway you to vape what I use and the way I vape, to each their own. Most importantly and above all else, I want to keep from smoking and I want the same for everyone who's smoked no matter how they get there. :)

my back up mod, sporting a Skyline "styled" these days, carry every night at work.
One DNA in pants pocket, 6 - 7 more in bag in my office.

Nice! :thumb: What kind of mod is that and what board does it have, a 40 or 60?

Yep, for me salts are a cooler gunker, even with unflavored. Cut my coil life in half, if not more.

I basically struggled for the last few years to reduce my nic. I literally went down in 1mg intervals so as not to notice the withdrawal. For me the addictive part of smoking was the nic, so going backwards is not in my future!
I'm at a point were I vape for the hand to mouth action, more of a force of habit, than addiction of any kind.
