Well, it took me two days to get around to working on the ERM-DNA75 case prep again but here are the photos of the 1044 sled in the front half of the case. The sled and 510 are wired with 14 gauge silicon wire. It is a little close, but Kapton tape won't be needed since the solder tab is well clear of the 510 connector and there's no way it can hit the 510 connector. Besides test fitting the sled, with leads, I installed and wired the 510 and tapped the mounting holes out to 0-80 rather than trying the self-snapping screws provided by Proto.
Positive/510 end. I "fanned the wire before soldering to lower the profile and that wasn't really necessary -
Negative end -
Edit - After checking the positive wire from the battery Kapton tape will be needed. The edge of the 510 projects just far enough and is rough enough to cut into the insulation. I may try making a deeper channel in the sled or even grinding/milling a little off the 510 connector for insurance.

After watching some of the press release videos, I understand the mind set of the rules... Keep it hard for kids to get hooked on Nicotine. And I agree with the concept there... The problem is the lack of concern for adults who use and rely on vaping.
Alcohol is bad but so long as your an adult and have money, you can drunk any day of the week.

My big question is will the DNA75 make it to market in the next 90 days before the freeze sets in?
Bigger companies like Evolv, Provari Should be able to compile with the FDA regs?
I'm pretty sure some juice companies too. There is a lot of money at stake here some one will step up!

Maybe on juice stuff, but on the hardware it remains to be seen. You have that whole "predicate" thing saying it must be substantially similar to something on the market prior to Feb 15th 2007. VV/VW/TC didnt even exist back then.
Why! would it have to be similar to other products on the market? New products come out everyday with FDA approval. Obviously this will be more work on the manufacturers part, to comply & drive up the price, But it mite improve the quality? Business always finds away there is too much money at steak here to roll over and Die!
Your right, there are new products approved by the FDA all the time, but not tobacco related products. Over the last 5 years there are over 3500 applications for a new tobacco product still languishing awaiting approval or denial. I forget the actual number, but in the last 5 years only something like 40 new tobacco product applications have actually been approved, out of thousands submitted.
So, either you prove predicate equivalence, or you go down the vortex of new product approval.
2 problems > applications per item are expected to run about a million bucks; one manufacturer's quest for approval of some snus took FIVE YEARS!
This is BT in action! All it will take is a Supreme Court Judge to declassify Mods as "tobacco products"
