That color is caused by rta wick puke-back.:D. Another reason all my RTAs are in the junk drawer, pif'd or sold.:p

I don't recall having that issue! Whats the terminology for the juice getting sucked back into the bottle, after you squonk?

I call it backwash

Hey Mike, how's it going with the vg/pg aldehydes thread, I was trying to slog through some of the unread posts the other day but barely made a dent. Any new revelations?

Nope not really, in a nutshell, aldehydes are not really seen until you reach 440F, and they increase non-linearly as temp increases, at some point shooting through the roof. And you (actually "I") cant taste it until it is already dramatically high.

Is it just me or has the temp at which aldehydes form gotten lower over the past year? Seems like it was originally 450°f and exponential production at 470°.

Not really, depends on what research you are going by.

WANG was showing it in VG at 410F over a year ago.
The 440F I cited above was based on my own Kitchen sink testing, but using actual vape gear and actual puffs.

From what I can see, even considering other seemingly objective studies, there is little to nothing below 440, then it starts rising, and dramatically shoots up somewhere "around" 470F, depending on your PG/VG ratio and puff style.

OMG! How do I become a "Professional Vaper" ???
You need to go back to 2014, get yourself a VA Variant and run it at 260W... Like Victor says, "It for Perfessinal Vaperers only"

Queued up at the best part. :D Pure gold from old Victor.

Hey Kiba, what are you using for a TCR for those SS40 claptons from AVS? They came in today and I ripped out a really nice performing Ti build, put in a clapton and blech. It drops out of TC using the curve from Steam Engine and only runs in power mode. My other complaint is they're so massive it take a while to heat up and cool down, got to remember to keep drawing after taking my thumb off the fire button.

I emailed Stuart, He said TCR = 138! Mine just left LA today :)

You mite want to try a Big Pre heat boost, I use 100 watts for 3 seconds on my Ti Claptons :)

I'll try that after dinner. I'm using 138 on the Aegis for SS430 and it does work well on that one, but this is a DNA with the full curve from Steam Engine. This is my second attempt and second disappointment with craptons.

Thats to bad :( I'm hoping I have better luck with the SS430? I never had any luck so far with any SS I have tried :( If not the old stand by Ti works well :)

Claptons? or SS430?
