We don't all like raw tomatoes either. Whatever works is all good.
Wow! I thought I was the only one in the world that has a hard time eating tomatoes. I don't even like them cooked in a stew. Everyone always looked at me funny when they learned this. But catchup, spaghetti sauce, pizza sauce, etc. is just yummy. :)

I can relate to that guy, I have to give him credit, he had a dream and even though it didn't pan out like he wanted he stuck with it until it came true, that's passion. ;)

In my early days after leaving the nest I wanted a motorcycle in the worst way, being young, unskilled and making minimum wage I had to scrounged used parts and saved every nickle I could. I got a cheap Honda 350, found used 12 over front forks to make it a chopper, used king/queen seat, used drag pipes, painted it myself and pieced it all together. I could barely afford the insurance to keep it on the road, I paid by the month and some months didn't think I'd have enough to pay the insurance bill but somehow did. There wasn't any money left over for a car so the bike was the only transportation I had, I drove it in the rain, thunderstorms and hail but I had my dream, for one summer.... I spent more time working on it to keep it running then I did riding it but I was happy. :)

Wow! I did buy automobiles pretty much right away. But I also loved motorcycles too. And right after that moped disaster, I bought a Honda CB350F. That was the 4 cylinder version of the 350. I absolutely loved that one. Once I left Hawaii I didn't want to pay to ship it back to the mainland. So I sold it for 300 bucks. I heard about 10 years ago that they were so rare, they are worth 50k today. Damn.

Honda CB350F - Wikipedia

Back in the mainland I couldn't find a 350 four cylinder, so I bought a 350 twin like yours. Looks a lot like yours too, but I never got around to chop mine. Now that one I still have in my barn and that one isn't worth 50k like my first one. But I'd probably get like 50 bucks for that second one today.

On the Motorcycle front, for you Honda guys ........ They actually developed an engine in the 70's and tested it at ~25K RPM. Above that, it was the sparkplug that couldn't keep up. Oval cylinders, i think it was raced briefly as the Honda NR. 8 valves per cylinder.

I had a '85 Yamaha Maxim X. 750CCs with 5 valves per cylinder. That was a Genesis engine. (I recall it was 3 valves on the intake for a smoother flow or something). Inline 4, liquid cooled, chopper style. You Americans had the 700CC version due to some duty implications for > 700CC. Only made 2 years tops.

You know, I never felt safe on a motorcycle :( You have to share the road with to many unknowns :(
In 91, an opportunity came up to by the coolest H-D you could imagine!
I really couldn't refuse, I only drove it a hand full of times & sold it a year later.
Have to admit, I did make a profit selling it :)

I'm not following. 138 sounds like SS430 IIRC, which is completely independant of any ohm reading. Are you saying compared to another ohm reader/mod, this one's lower? And did you really mean .3Ω or .03Ω

0.3 ohms Kiba? Or did you mean 0.03 ohms? .3 ohms is huge, I'd be looking for a less than proper connection somewhere.

Whoops, looks like @Wayneo beat me to that one.

As Wayneo said, TCR and coil res are independent of each other however an ohms reading other than actual coil res will affect coil temp. Example: If your coil res is actually lower than what is being read by your mod due to connectivity problems, hot spots, etc your actual coil temp will be higher than the temp setting on your mod. The inverse is true also. The math to support this can be found on the "beyond ni200" thread.
I can't do the math but one of the engineers on that thread said that when using Ti a .01 ohms difference in actual coil res vs. measured coil res would cause an 80°f error in temp. Also, wires that have lower tcr values worsens the error because of how the tcr value is used in the mathmatical formula to calculate temp offset (error).

Oh my bad guys I miss typed that, the cold ohms would be reading for example .42Ω while it should be .45Ω

I did the same thing in college, I had to initially sell my civic that I had put all my penny's into the, which I had turbo kitted & engine swapped for running 1/4 miles, but I saved up all I could for a crotch rocket to drive around campus, it was a Yamaha r6 and way too small for me though, fun times but I literally almost killed myself on that thing several times.

(more accurately I was almost killed by other drivers several times)

I'll always remember the feeling of being hit by gobs of rain & cursing the fact that my only mode of transportation doesn't have a roof, lol... I don't recommend it.

Should be .45 ohms according to another dna mod? A previous identical build? Steamengine? An ohms checker? A dmm? Of all the above I would lean towards trusting the mod if it's been calibrated with a shorting adaptor.

I appreciate the link, I've tried that one and I can not for the life of me get it to print to scale and I tried every setting with both my new Brother laser printer and my ink jet printer. Printing to 300 DPI does nothing to make it print to scale, wish I could get it to work, it's the only template I've been able to find.
